Panthers

Eli Apple who likely won't play on Sunday did not practice

Chris Manhertz was limited with bum ankle. (but he is practicing, which is good).

Falcons

Load of limited practices but likely has more to do with the MNF game and recovery.

Julio Jones has not practiced (hamstring). Likely OUT

Jaylinn Hawkins did not practice (concussion). 4th round rookie safety the Falcons need right now.

That's the shortest injury list I have seen for us in a long time, I wonder if that is luck or what. Don't want to jinx anything but that is a big plus considering how banged up we have been the last few seasons.

Another note is that their rookie CB Terrell who was out on the COVID list for a few games is expected back. Should be a slight boost for their terrible secondary, but he's still a rookie and not sure how he has looked when he did play..

    • Yeah it was like watching two bottom teams slap fight and play ugly small ball in the preseason to me. hard pass on that personally.
    • I'm looking for the video but I found this from SI (from 3 days ago) in the meantime. "If you remove the turnovers, which is a pointless exercise since they happened, Bryce Young has been quietly very good. Sometimes, you can live with the turnovers, but the explosive plays to offset them haven't been there, and the turnovers have directly led to points and losses. But Jake Delhomme thinks that's the one area that needs to be cleaned up. Otherwise, Young has been strong. "We saw Bryce end the year well. I saw him play decent the first few weeks (this season). It’s just the turnovers, that’s something that’s killed him," he said via The Athletic's Joe Person."
    • IMO, Bryce is pretty damned good as long as he's not under pressure, which he wasn't yesterday. If the opponent is able to pressure him, well...
