Pats & Titans shut down again due to Covid-19

"The Denver Broncos at New England Patriots game scheduled for Monday, October 12 at 5:00 p.m. ET has been postponed," the league said in a statement. "Details on a new game date and time will be announced shortly. Both teams will now have a Week 5 bye. This decision was made to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel and in consultation with medical experts."

Really wonder if Tennessee is going to be forced to forfeit at this point, I mean the NFL keeps threatening it.

Playing whack a mole isn’t going to fix this issue

Agreed, nature needs to just run its course, name one, just one professional sports player or coach that has died or been hospitalized from this? It’s time we realize that these are extremely low risk individuals and need to stop the hysteria.
Its only a matter of time before the NFL realizes this approach won’t work and will just say screw it and just let nature do its thing

How is this sustainable? Titans game looking like it could get rescheduled again. Seems like some teams are likely playing less than 16 games. Can't really pull double headers like they did in baseball to make up for all the missed games early.

They can add weeks 18, 19 and 20 if they need to.

when the playoff start they will go to a bubble.

How dare they get sick!! All these sociopaths I see out in the world enjoying life and having dinner together, they should be ashamed of themselves, they deserve to fall ill!! The audacity of some people to want to enjoy life

And if everyone In their sphere were young and didn't have any pre-existing conditions you might have a smidgen of logic there. But with 1 out 4 Americans with pre-existing conditions and them not living in a bubble, your line of thinking is irresponsible and dangerous. If everyone got infected and 1% died that is 3 million deaths. Crazy thinking and most people would be afraid to share such a ridiculous and caulous statement.  Crazy times we line in.

Wrong, it’s not 1%, cdc estimates that up to 10x more people have had Covid than what is reported, that equates to at 0.22% death rate give or take. It’s simple, if you test positive, stay away from those that are older and at risk and let everyone else develop herd immunity. Sweden took this approach and guess what, it worked!

Ah the ignorance of youth and the belief in invincibility. And the desire of millions more to bury their heads in the sand and pretend if they ignore the virus it will simply disappear.  All these selfish people only care about themselves and think as long as they are fine nothing else matters.  If this was more deadly then natural selection would do its job and eliminate the weak and stupid much like in the wild where the gazelle who is too slow to avoid the lion or too stupid to avoid the obvious danger get eaten and taken out of the gene pool.

Fixed so now you sound at least rational.

It is hard to believe that people like you still debate these issues and act as if your rationale makes even a modicum of sense. You are either a troll or really believe what you say which in either case is a waste of time to debate since nothing to this point has educated you to the dangers so I doubt anything will. If you get Covid I hope you are asymptomatic. Stay safe.

    • I'm not too familiar with Chenal so this might be a lazy question..... Would a Chenal signing be any similar to us giving Turk a big contract? An under appreciated fringe starter in KC that teammates and front offices love and envision them taking off in a new city.
    • I LOOOOVED Nick Emmanwori in last year's draft and seeing him thrive and become an instant leader of Seattle's defense this year makes me want a similar rookie beside Moehrig.  In scanning this year's draft, I came across Zakee Wheatley from PSU. Not exactly the same build, but Senior Bowl measurements have him at a hair under 6'3" & 200lbs and runs a 4.4. His acceleration, ability to span the field and be a true center field coverage safety would allow Moehrig to float more near the LOS and play to his strengths with a worthy compliment. Wheatley is a modern day lengthy SAF and he excels in zone coverage, isn't afraid to get dirty in the run game and has a nose for the ball.  We play such a soft cover-3 scheme that having someone with speed to roam would be great. I'd especially like to see us roll Ransom out there with these two as well with Horn/Jackson to secure that backend for us. Looking like a R2 pick as of now with some saying early third. If he truly is an athletic specimen that his numbers show, I assume he will only climb higher after the combine.  https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25250463-nfl-draft-2026-scouting-report-penn-state-s-zakee-wheatley Will defnitely look to see how he does at the Sr. Bowl this weekend and in Indy next month.
    • Yeah, I can see that too. Sticky, reliable hands that does not drop a lot of balls and runs the whole route tree.
