Defense is two starters away from being very good.

Boston is the kind of player that looks good with a good front and terrible with a bad front. Has the physical talent and experience to play a well-defined role, but is very prone to trying to do way too much and looking like ass doing so. 

With a better LB core and more depth on the DL, he'd be fine. Not great, but fine.

If Chinn ends up playing LB, then SS is a much larger hole IMO.

To be very good it's more like 5. We need a DT, DE, MLB, Safety and another corner. DE and Corner could be on the roster now but they need to get healthy and continue to improve.

If you have a CB you don't need another DT or DE. We are generating pass rush with mostly Joes at CB right now.

As is, I'd say our defensive line can be very good with the personnel currently on the team. 

They definitely need more at DT if not also another stout DE.

All five sacks can account for that... but in all seriousness I think you may be right when YGM is healthy.

Phil Snow has been incredible. This defensive has no business playing this good, playing waaaaay above their weight class.

Yes we don't get sacks but we do get pressure and that's from a defense that plays with 3 down lineman a bunch. Adding a true CB(doesn't have to be the best) to our team would generate more sacks. Our coverage is woefully bad most games.
