Nobody here remembers the "Miracle at the Meadowlands?"

Philadelphia Eagles at NY Giants. 4th quarter, 30 seconds left in the game, Giants up by a score of 17-12....

For some clarification, the rule allowing a QB to take a knee and run the clock out did not exist. On the previous play, NY Giants QB Joe Pisarcik had rolled and and laid down (the equivalent of taking a knee back in the day).

Embarrassing, yes. Nowhere near as hilarious as the butt fumble though.

I was still several years away from existence when that play occurred.

I don't know if anything will ever top the butt fumble. Not only was it pretty much the most hilarious way to possibly fumble, but the fumble got returned for a walk in high stepping TD to go down 21-0.

Exactly. Too many short term memories and two completely different football results. That butt fumble also pretty much ended Sanchez’s career and it was against the hated Patriots. He only started after that as a backup when the main QB got injured. Who’s going to ever give butt fumble the starting job? I mean, he was 4-2 in the playoffs with 9 TDs and 3 INTs, got to two straight AFC Championships including beating a 14-2 Patriots. Two years later and the butt fumble and he’s done.
