I disagree. There's no view that clearly shows the ball both hitting the ground and causing loss of possession. Could that have happened? Sure. Hell, it may even be likely. But it's definitely not conclusive and conclusive is supposed to be the bar to clear for replay reversal.

Even our own fans in the gameday thread yesterday agreed that was a drop.

It's simply looking at the rules as they're written. Dean Blandino pretty much said the same during the broadcast - basically that he thought it was probably incomplete but expected the call to stand due to lack of conclusive evidence.

Lol there are plenty of people to blame for this season and where we are at as a franchise. The dumb ass owner, the clown of a GM, the inept QB, the horrific DC, the joke of a local sports media, but Matt Rhule should be nowhere on that list.

this guy is an outstanding coach and without a doubt will be the best coach in franchise history. I’ve seen more out of him in 10 games than I saw out of rowboat Ron in a decade. Fire the worst General manager is professional sports, tell the meddling owner to shut his mouth and just spend his money, cut check down teddy as soon as humanly possible., and give rhule a few years and this team will be in a great position.

That's the point. You don't have to defend the catch to say the call should have stood. It's a burden of proof issue. The burden of proof is on the argument to overturn.

there was a defensive penalty for delay of game that stopped the clock so there was no need to spike the ball...
