‘QB Purgatory’ the same unremarkable quarterback he’s always been.

We’ll be in QB purgatory until we get lucky in the draft. That could be this year, it could be 20 years from now.

This is reality. See KC, NE, SEA, Colts, Broncos, etc etc.

Yep. It's why Cam's demise was such a tough pill to swallow. Elite QBs don't exactly grown on trees. Most teams go through a period of flailing after losing their franchise QB. The Montana to Young and Favre to Rodgers type stories are very much the exception and not the rule.

I’m not happy to pile on to teddy. If he had been even serviceable we could have filled other needs

he isn’t

I’ve always been if the opinion if you are going to rebuild, then rebuild

these rebuilds while trying to be average don’t work In the nfl

should've cleaned house included Hurney and here we are

I don’t they can get Lawrence but if they can get Fields freaking do it

Exactly. Its the equivalent of breaking up with your girl and still living in the same house. Does nobody any good, go your separate ways and start over

    • After some of the calls last year probably won't see much of a drop off
    • https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/48344034/nfl-begin-hiring-replacement-officials-given-state-negotiations-nfl-referees-association   Honestly fug these refs and their union. Resisting changes that would actually incentivize good performance and not seniority based systems. What a bunch of donkeys. Hope the replacements straight up take their jobs and never give them back. Sick of watching refs script games with no repercussions.
    • Donovan seems like highest risk to me. Lloyd and May have already established relationships with all these kids. There’s probably guys hitting the portal that they recruited from HS. And then there’s the possibility of transferring their own guys from their current teams. They’ve also been recruiting the HS kids for like the next 5 years already. Look at the Iowa coach who hit the ground running by transferring all his guys from his D2 program. Or going across sports to Cignetti transferring all his JMU guys year one then building off that to a national title year 2. Donovan is starting from square one having been in the NBA so long and he’s already 60. So you’re potentially punting year 1 for a guy you are just hoping to be a 10 year hire while you figure out how to actually develop your next home grown 20yr guy. That’s 1/10th of the time you have him, more or less at best. The hope would be that he would find some high level assistants who have been working the college recruiting trails already, but then are you giving up his ideal staff just to get a foothold in recruiting and transfers. Think Belichick year one was bad? Imagine how much worse it would be without Steve Belichicks transfer portal pulls. Hoping Mays or Lloyd are all they’re cracked up to be.
