If you want a tougher perspective...

For those who'd rather see a Panthers writer take a tougher perspective on the topic of Teddy Bridgewater, Alaina Getzenberg has your back.

Until Teddy Bridgewater learns how to win, the Panthers are stuck

It doesn’t all fall on one player or one aspect of the game — the Panthers put themselves in a tough position in a variety of ways — but being able to trust a player with the ball in his hands with the game on the line is a signature of the best franchise quarterbacks.

And Teddy Bridgewater has yet to do so. In seven of nine losses this year, the offense has had the ball with a chance to win or tie the score in the final minutes, but came up short. For a team that keeps losing and improving its chances of picking in the top 10 of the NFL draft with an opportunity to pick a quarterback, continuing to fall just short is noteworthy.

So if teddy just delivered on half those opportunities, we'd be a playoff team.

That's tough to fathom

Eh, if we can translate our high draft pick into a top end qb, it makes a huge difference. Forum dramatics aside, the nfl is a league of razor thin margins, both in game and collectively through the CBA.

Other than against tb, we’ve very much been capable of winning games. Couple the influx of rookie starters, the new coaching staff and a preseason denied plus a preseason in flux, it’s a positive trajectory.

There was a quote thrown out in the game about how we’re in a streak Of  0-20+ when trailing in the second half

The thing about trajectory is this- as soon as gravity takes over, the trajectory begins to arc in the opposite direction- negative trajectory. And the gravity, in this instance, is the QB.

Oh yes, gravity’s rainbow (incredible book btw). In furtherance of the metaphor, agreed;  we need someone who can handle carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders.
