Matt Ryan isn't retiring? Where did you hear that? They brought in Arther Smith to revive him like Tannehill, because his cap hit is massive.....

Probable, yes.  Possible...not even remotely.  At worst we are looking at Lance and at best the loser of the QB2 debate between Fields and Wilson.

The way this team is trending especially defensively were probably not going to be picking top 10 again in some time .

I think it's not too smart to trade out of a top 10 pick when you desperately need a franchise QB  unless someone is offering you multiple high picks to do so (ex , mid first round , Two seconds , so we'd have 1 first and 3 2nds ). Then you could work on rebuilding the oline and probably kick the tires on a mid round qb later and have them compete with Bridgwater.

Don't just trade down to pick up one extra second rounder fug that! Better be for more than one extra pick otherwise you're just giving pick 8 away for a ham sandwich.

I personally wouldn't trade down at all this draft. I'd try to trade UP with the Jets or Dolphins for a reasonable deal and if that didn't work just stay pat and go BPA.  Need to pick up qb at some point but doesn't HAVE to be at pick 8 if their ideal first round qbs are all off the board .  Don't reach for Lance or  Mac Jones if you aren't 1000% sure they're the guy.

As much as getting a QB at 8 would be nice , getting either the #1 CB, #1 LB, #1 DE , or #1 TE I wouldn't be mad honestly. Keep stacking good players and when you finally do get your QB it could be a KC situation . 

 

Don't forget Fiterer was part of the staff that drafted Russell Wilson so ..there's hope at least .

My bad--I found the PFT article and got the wrong Matt--they said Ryan could be leaving and Shaub was retiring.  There was another article that suggested he could retire, comparing him to a recent trend and using Luck as the parallel, but that does not seem to be based on anything Ryan has said .

Whoever trades with Houston for Watson will give Houston all the picks it needs to move up this year for a QB. 

So it is really hard to gauge who will be available when--teams needing a QB will move up if it does not break the bank.

LOL, this whole statement is wild.

 

1) If we traded picks with the 49ers, it's because they're looking to get Lance who is a perfect playaction QB in their system.

 

2) We can't trade Curtco, he's a FA as of rn.
