I see where you are coming from. Im not a fan of Trubisky really but as far as a backup goes might not be too bad. My one issue is what if we get rid of Teddy and draft a young QB like Trey Lance. Im not so sure how Trubisky could lead and teach the young player the ropes. In that situation i feel like maybe another aging vet like Fitz could be a potential better option maybe? What say you?

I like players having mentors on the team, but I put more of the QB development responsibilities on the QB coach and offensive coordinator. I wouldn’t bring a guy on just as a mentor. Imo, Trubisky’s potential is worth the risk if you can get him for cheap.
