Svechnikov should be a more brainer I believe Necas is still in his entry level/rfa level so we wont lose him. Hamilton is the most pressing of the ones that we could lose. And as reliable and good as he is one of my big focuses is with the UPC ok making expansion draft I dont want to lose Jake Bean. Fluery I'd hate to lose but not as much as Bean. Trocheck I love his game but dont know if we will keep him. McGinn and foegele are also ones I'd like to keep but understanding we wont be able to sign everybody.

I think the Canes will lose Hamilton, cut Gardiner and his $4M salary next season, sign Mrazek to a new deal and let Reimer walk, keeping Ned as the #2. There are plenty of 3rd line blue-liners out there who won't cost this team a lot of money.

Although Foegle is an RFA, and he's arbitration eligible, I think if the ask is too big, he might be gone as well.

The team, right now, has $28M in projected cap space at the end of the season. That's a lot to work with in the grand scheme.

It is but with the cap adjusted this season to handle the covid loss of revenue it's not going up for the next four seasons.... We have a lot of young guys who haven't fully entered the primes of their careers, if this is handled properly we are looking at at five or more years of contention.
