Massive deal on a trade down with the Jags netting low 1st and multiple 2nds

There's an insane amount of oline talent in the top half of round 2.

This draft right here would be awesome.  Two future firsts and those picks would be amazing.  Really like those OL guys and love Moehrig and Tonga that late.  Well done.

Probably very realistic if we made no trades. I think SOMEONE ahead of us will get Sewell and we get the next best OT.

Im thinking Slater has some flexibility in whether he plays guard or tackle , so drafting another OT in R2 is actually not crazy at all (we did go Dline first two picks last year ). Also the team would have the option of not paying Moton a shitton of money and have their two OTs cheap for 4 years min.

If Eichenburg or Randunz is sitting around at our R2 pick I'd think hard about getting one of them instead of feeling like you absolutely need to draft the best cornerback available. Bouye should at least be serviceable but we could be screwed if him and Donte deal with injuries .

To me, adding Darnold really changes things.  Also, we have a ton of decent guards now.  I really don't see a need for a stud G with Miller, Eflein, Erving, Daley, Scott already on the roster.  They may even try Little inside, although I think its more likely they cut him and save the 2m.  We have a ton of defense front 7 as well.  The openings on the roster are S/RB/CB/WR/TE.

1. Sewell or Slater

2. Grant S

3. Gowan Stokes, or Melifonwu CB

4. Darden WR

5. RB or WR

6. Yeboah TE

6. best S that falls.

    • That's certainly what we hope but c'mon... stating it as fact when he's never played a down of NFL football?
    • What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.
    • Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
