Where do I start?

Look, I should have known it was going to be a bad night when we get to PNC (they're not charging for parking, by the way) and you can park wherever you like. That may sound like a good thing, but since when is tailgating a criminal offense at PNC? The side-by-side cops out in full force telling us we have to eat inside our vehicles, you cannot stand outside, in a parking space, next to your vehicle, with your wife, while eating a sandwich and drinking a beer. WTF.

The pre-game Stall tribute was very well done and Jordo was treated right. Those 10 minutes were as good as the Canes looked all night. Maybe they should have all left their #11 Staal sweaters on all night.

They were fugging terrible. Missing passes, overskating the puck, turnovers, you name it. As much as I think Jacob Slavin is a very underrated defenseman, although he was an all-star, he got torched last night.

Oh, and I had to explain the Geekie penalty for "shooting the stick" to a few people, too.

I'll focus on what few positives there were, rather than list the no-shows. The guys who worked hard all game, were grinding it to the end last night, and not always in the camera shot: Fast, Foegele, Martinook, Aho, Pacquette. They skated and worked hard all night long while it looked as though a few others took the night off.

Mini-crowds suck. I don't care what it sounds like on TV, you could hear a pin drop the entire game. There is no electricity in the crowd, no fire. I sat thru the first 17 seasons of Carolina Panthers football and I've been in PNC for many Canes games and the crowd last night reminded me of the Carolina Panthers 2001 season when they went 1-15.

My wife and I have both received our vaccinations and it had been 427 days since our last Canes game in person. I can say without hesitation that we will not return this season for another game- I'd rather stay home and watch. When it's safe to fill PNC, we'll return.

How will we know it's him in the crowd?

But, did you wear it?

    • That’s not a bad idea at all. I was really liking the whole cali-style carne asada. We might do that next week instead of enchiladas for the rams. Was planning on: Saints-Gumbo Tampa-Cuban Sandwiches Seattle- Salmon Stew Tampa- Seafood Boil
    • I agree, honestly you can not trade a player that has Balls talent. Just sitting in street clothes FOR years, it doesn't matter if you are averaging 50points on 88% with 18 rebs, 15 asst, 4 stls if you never can play. These are the worst type of players, teasers. Its HIS JOB to get his body in NBA shape and he has proven that he can not. Thus you break the rule about trading top shelf talent. Hell NBA need to have NFL contracts where the full sum isn't guaranteed, you bet your ass if his money was tied to his playing on the court he'd somehow figure out how to stay healthy.   Plus Im a old head, I member when Seth Curry in his 17(Jesus..) year career had ankle problems and guess what, he solved the issues and got all the money, championships, and fame. Ball doesn't have the same drive to figure out his body, he'd rather drive his car on kids feet while rushing home to drive his go-cart on the roof of his condo after missing his 42nd game of the season.....
