Didn't the niners make the trade directly after the Lance pro day?

Nah pretty sure they made it DURING the Wilson pro day.

As soon as Wilson’s medicals checked out with the Jets, I’m guessing the Niners felt comfortable making the move up to 3.

I don’t think losing Teddy makes us look all that much weaker at QB. We may well take a QB or LT but my gut tells me Horn is our guy right now

If we're at 8, I doubt it. I like Horn, but the QB run is going to push top talent down to 8. I think they're high on Horn, but they're higher on other guys. The only reason I see us picking Horn is because we trade back. Thankfully, we dont have to wait long to see.

I'm sure every team has talked to every other team about potential moves at this point.  And although NE may really want a QB, moving up just doesn't fit their M.O.

That being said, if they do, and our options end up being limited to only picking corners at 8 (which still isn't bad), just think back to that win against Washington again.

    • frank, that ball was very catchable where it hit his hands. I don't even think he bent at waist until after he dropped it. He actually slows his pace to position himself to catch the ball. That will never be a pass I'd blame on the QB.   NFL+ _ Live Games on mobile, NFL RedZone, NFL Network and More! - Google Chrome 2026-01-15 13-54-54.mp4
    • https://overthecap.com/position/left-guard   Lewis is the 9th highest paid Left Guard in the league. I bet it was higher when the deal was done two years ago.    https://overthecap.com/position/right-guard Hunt #3 highest Right Guard   There is a tab in the upper left portion of the graphic that allows looking at the different positions.
    • It was a great play, but a better catch than throw. The TE boxes out Moehrig for position. Jumps to catch the ball. Catches it and turns 180 degrees while he's still in the air. Comes down and toe taps to stay in bounds and lunges for the goal post. That first part where he boxes out Moehrig for the ball is huge. If he doesn't do that and simply fades back to catch the ball (this is why Bryce doesn't trust XL), then Moehrig likely undercuts the pass for a break up or INT. Stafford trusts his receivers to make plays for him. Here I slowed it down so you can see it. Great play but amazing catch and score by the TE.  NFL+ _ Live Games on mobile, NFL RedZone, NFL Network and More! - Google Chrome 2026-01-15 13-45-32.mp4 NFL+ _ Live Games on mobile, NFL RedZone, NFL Network and More! - Google Chrome 2026-01-15 13-44-37.mp4
