black writing is so vogue but this is the quote that interests me, care to elaborate on those reasons I'm honestly curious

"We didn’t go after Fields for numerous reasons"

Outside of the Epilepsy reports that could’ve scared off people. We invested a decent amount into Darnold. Building his confidence is the first step to finding out who he really is. Getting another QB doesn’t do that. I for one was glad we didn’t after seeing his reaction to being drafted and to how he nailed his Bears interview. He gives me Haskins vibes solely on his demeanor of investing in himself. He comes off more self driven than team driven. Accolades don’t win championships, there are many franchise QBs that will tell you the same. Not saying he won’t possibly be good but he wasn’t a fit for what the FO wanted and honestly I feel confident in the way they have been drafting. Defense will always win championships. You just need a smart decision maker behind center that can show arm talent when needed.

The man put his body on the line in that Clemson game and played injured while crushing that team. He has a desire to win and was pissed at dropping in the draft. That was a “I’m going to make you regret passing on me” look. There is nothing wrong with that. I hope he does well in Chicago, but I hope Horn becomes the next Revis even more!
