  1. 1. I'm a cockeyed  optimist

    • I am optimistic. I think I like the way we are headed.
    • We may improve, but I'm patient.
    • Same ol Panthers, until they show me.

i dont like our QB situation but thats yet to be seen. The positive about this is last years Chiefs game. I was expecting us to get wrecked but I was pleasantly surprised how we held up against the reigning champs. I see us a year or 2 away from being in the championship. We are still missing a couple pieces but If we can keep our players next year and continue to develop. I see a bright future. So Im highly optimistic.

I think we have too many holes and too many question marks right now to be confident in much. O-Line could be a mess

A big part of that is gauging the rookies...mostly Brady Christensen.  If he comes in and holds his own at LT...  we'll be just fine.

Because we took him as a high 3rd where there were 11 tackles & 1 guard taken ahead of him and  he went to BYU, he's older, and his arms are shorter or we didn't take the guy they preferred, ...some are  down on him.

I'm not there, he had the highest pff for olineman in history and the highest ras score of the group.  He has tape and athletic ability. As a sophomore he played against USC, Washington,  Utah and Tennessee, and allowed a total of four pressures.  He has battled 1st rounder Payton Turner from Houston.  He  was 2020 consensus All-American, best 2020 pass blocking grade among OT in this draft class and  allowed two pressures on 293 pass blocking regular season snaps.

..and people here act likes he probably sucks...so the left part oline probably sucks.

Guess we'll find out.  But I believe BC can do it.

With the salary cap the way it is there are always going to be holes somewhere on the roster. I did not like everything we did this offseason, but I can see why most of the moves we made were made. I think I understand how the team is being put together and why. The FO is actively trying to make the team better, for that reason I am more optimistic than I have been in a awhile.

In so many past years I've noticed how the team seemed to overpay declining players and really not seem to have a noticeable plan to solve issues that would make the team better. That's why I'm a little more optimistic this year- I can see the team trying to fix things even if its not exactly how I would try to do it.

    • "A wasted developmental year..." It's just part of the process of rebuilding, changing the culture and the narratives surrounding a franchise that's been circling the drain. Better to be pulling yourself out than in the tank. This may be our last chance to not become the new version of the Browns or Jets for the next 20 years.
    • Smitty and Lance Zierlein see eye to eye on the top four, then they start diverging a little bit. It's an hour and 18 minutes.    Link only (due to NFL content.) https://youtu.be/LDzLS0viRX4?si=P5JkRNA8eqevnpHc Again, if you like hearing about receivers, give it a listen. I know at this point that it's easy to get overwhelmed and/or simply tired of too many opinions. That being said, I found the discussion about some of the receivers pretty interesting.  Tidbits: Both have Nabers WR1, but you can't go wrong with Harrison or Odunze. Smitty has Ladd at 8, Zierlein at 5. Smitty has Worthy at 5. Sixth is AD who needs to work on route running. Zierlein said two ex-receivers that Smitty knows have expressed concerns (and, just guessing, it could be Keyshaun & Irving). Legette is 9th. Which Legette are you getting? Many of these receivers, including Odunze will have to play in specific roles for them to shine.  Pearsall is 14th. He can play outside but eats in the slot.   The most interesting thing to me about watching these many analysts is that they all agree that where a guy is drafted and how he is deployed absolutely matters. It can make or break careers. Sure, you have some guys that can do it all, but those aren't as prevalent as we'd like to think, that's why putting guys in the best situations to succeed is so crucial. At the same time, you may not even know all the guy can do based upon the offense he was in on the collegiate level, so you at least have to explore the possibility that he can do more. Coaching is so important.
    • I never tried HGH but tried a number of different gear related items over the years to include, test cypionate, test enanthate, sustanon, equipoise, masteron, primobolan, anavar and winstrol and damn sure enjoyed all of them. I heard a lot of good on HGH but also some bad. They sure do help in the short term over a number of years but when the playing days come  to an end you end up regretting all that stuff when you get past your 20's and into late 30's and early 40's. I would most definitely advise Bryce to avoid at all costs even if it means him losing his career. Gear is a silent killer and it slowly takes years off your life. Nearly killed me years later. He needs some good nutrition, some hard weight training and some explosive training on a field and I bet Bryce would very much have improved performance on game days. Drew Brees while taller than Bryce by a little was in fact very strong for his size and trained very hard for that strength which I believe helped him to be who in my opinion could possibly be tied for the best QB ever. Bryce needs to get on the Drew Brees training and nutrition plan.
