Welp. Looks like I'll be seeing a PPV quality Dynamite next week! Beyond psyched to get to see Danielson and Omega go at it. Wow wow wow.

Sort of annoyed they're doing Rampage too. Show won't be over til like 12:30 and the crowd will be dead by then. But it's the only way to get to see Punk.

Will def buy an event t-shirt!

Then two days later it's GCW. I hope everyone throws trash at Cardona again. I so want to do that.

maybe they'll film an hour of rampage before and then an hour after, so it'll end at 11

So I am loving AEW and what they are becoming however, am I the only one that gets annoyed by so many stables??? I mean, I get why AEW is doing it because they want to get the talent out in the ring but damn.... I feel like there is too many. To me, I find Team Taz to be the cheesiest of the group. Taz, to me, just feels like he trying to be too much like a Paul Heyman type of manager. I do love The Elite because they remind me of the Kliq with HBK, HHH, Nash, Hall, and Six Pacc. I am not all against stables but let's slow down on the number of them.

i have no problem with the number of factions at all, but i think they do have a small issue where they don't always fit the right people together in a faction. Ricky Starks never belonged in Team Taz. he doesn't live the FTW lifestyle. he's a charisma guy, not a suplex-gremlin.

Yeah, from what I've read, AEW is simply doing the NJPW model which means a lot of factions. If they wanted to make it mean something though, why not create a "faction title" or "belt" or "cup". That way factions could compete. Don't know the logitics, but it could be cool.

So ... I'm pretty sure my seats are hard camera all night. I'm second row behind floor. Floor is usually just 2-3 rows which may be even less at Ashe. So I'll be on camera all night. I'll tell you dorks what wrestling shirt I'm in so you can laugh at me. BUT ... should I bring a small sign?

Carolina Huddle 4 Life

Zod Clickbaits

Tommy Jone

Still talkin' about Cam!

Stay out of the Tinderbox

But can he play LT?

I'd rather be in China ... wait

David Tepper just bought AEW

I was there. It was a FUN time. Was on camera all night ... sorry, lol. Luckily my mug was often behind some dude's sign. The crowd was lit, but I thought it would be louder. Maybe Ashe doesn't have the best acoustics. I mean, it's made for tennis. But there were def times when I couldn't hear the person next to me. We got to see a few matches for Dark/Elevation before Dynamite. Nothing of note really. TK came out and spoke to the crowd a lot. He was so full of energy. Overall it was one amazing night.

Dynamite Notes:

- Crowd lost all of its energy during Omega/Danielson, lol. By Rampage we were dead.
- Crowd booed Cody to DEATH and cheered Black. Not sure how that came out on TV.
- Arn pushed Cody, starting that angle. Not sure that made it to TV.
- Soho/Baker was split amongst the crowd. Nothing happened after it went off the air.
- Darby was limping at the end of his match. Hopefully he's ok.
- No shocking debuts, etc.

Rampage? Well ... I won't spoil too much, but other than Omega/Danielson it was the BETTER show! There WAS a debut! Sort of.

- Punk/Hobbs ... all I'll say is PUNK WORE TRUNKS!
- MoTY had some great new tights and a LOT of crazy stuff happened after the match.
- Jungle Boy is SO OVER and had one of his best performances.
- TK rapped back.
- PnP ... The Warriors ... that's all I'll say.
- Oh, and that match was NUTS. NUTS.
- Main event was what you think it'll be. Not sure if the "debut" made the air or it was just for us.

Anyone see Extreme Rules? Bored me to tears, cut it off after Bliss/Charlotte match and went on to bed.

BTW, is it just me or does Charlotte Flair look like the most mannish wrestler on the roster? Whew, a pair of bollt-ons must do it for some folks, but she's built like a moderately skinny dude. She's a good wrestler, but the whole beautiful thing is about as believable as Carrion Cross being a wastelands gladiator come through time to fight in the WWE.

Yeah, WWE is losing this iteration of the wrestling wars. After watching the draft last night, it makes me wonder if Kevin Owens must have re-signed with WWE rather than taking off for AEW as had been rumored when his contract expires in Dec.

What the hell was even the point of the draft? Half of the people that were drafted didn't even change brands... Kind of a waste to me. It's not it will matter much anyways because they will find ways to have wrestlers show up on different shows each week.

And please, for the love God, WWE, stop using Oldberg as an attraction for your shows... No one cares for Goldberg anymore.

I have yet to figure out why there's a draft or even two different brands anyway. They just wrestle the same pairings over and over again then drag them out again for the PPV which usually ends up being a snoozefest.

And it's not just Goldberg, but also Edge, John Cena, Brock Lesnar, the Undertaker and a bunch of guys who'd moved on, but are being lured back for big checks just to put butts in seats. The only thing about these guys are that they offer is the chance to create a belt change without losing heat for one of the current belt holders. Also, it's lazy writing/booking on the part as a whole.

The Draft is dumb because most WWE fans watch both shows. So it's not like you vastly perfer one, or can't watch one. When you watch both shows it's one seamless thing, thus you see both "brand's" wrestlers. So having them go from one show to the other means absolutely nothing to 99% of WWE fans.

    • Canales’ recipe for success is simple — slow the game down with long drives that keep the other team’s offense off the field. Long drives are built from short gains but short gains require more 3rd-down conversions.  The Panthers are converting 37.5% of their third downs, which is average but not enough. As a result, they have attempted 21 fourth downs — the most in the NFL — and they’ve converted 71.4% of them, ranking 3rd among teams with at least 15 attempts. The Chiefs are second @ 80% and the Colts are first at 88% but the majority of their conversions are short yardage runs - not passes.  The Panthers have had three big wins this season — against Miami, the Cowboys, and the Packers — those conversions have played a major role in each of those wins. Miami The Panthers trailed by 17 in the 2nd quarter, facing a 4th-and-5 at the Miami 48. Young threw a 21-yard completion and they went on to score 7 on that drive. Then in the 4th, down by 4, they faced another 4th-and-5 at the Miami 33. Young delivered a 17-yard completion for the 1st down and they went on to score the winning TD. Cowboys The game is tied and the Panthers take over at their own 14 with 6 minutes left. Rico picks up 16 yards and Young converts two 3rd downs, gaining 37 yards, but misses on a third conversion. At the Cowboys’ 40, facing a 4th-and-4 at the 2-minute mark — knowing the Cowboys likely score if they get the ball back — Canales has them go for it. Young converts with a 7-yard pass putting them at the 33 in FG range. They then go on to kicj the game winning FG. Packers Young was 2-for-2 on 4th-down attempts. Then on the final drive starting from their own 19 with the score tied, Young converts two 3rd downs for 19 yards and Rico adds another 19 to move them into field-goal range for the win. In total, Bryce went 2-for-4 on 3rd downs and 5-for-5 on 4th downs on critical plays in those games. When the Panthers needed 1 yard against the Packers on their own 41 early in the game, Canales went to Young. - not Rico. When they needed 4 yards to keep the drive going at the 2 minute mark against the Cowboys he went to Young. Those throws weren’t empty-yardage completions; they were high-pressure, must-convert moments that directly contributed to all three wins. I keep reading how the Panthers  are winning in spite of Young, that Canales doesn’t trust him and schemes around him. But these drives show the opposite: when the game is on the line, Canales has consistently put the ball in Young’s hands and Young has consistently produced in those moments.  Some people do well in normal situations but crumble under pressure. Others can be uneven in normal times but produce when the presure is greatest. The question is who would you rather have in the playoffs. More importantly, who do you think Canales and the FO would want?
    • I think is worse news for Tremayne. They need special teams help with him questionable.  If T-Mac is down, XL, Coker, Horn, and Renfrow. No way Chisena gets meaningful snaps as WR, only on special teams.
