Also for the record this kid deserves the presumption of innocence since he has not been convicted, charged or even suspended by league. Safe to say it ain’t gonna happen. Let’s give him the same presumption of innocence we gave the Commander in P grabber who had more accusations. If the grabber can lead the country and still flaunt plenty of power to this day I think Watson can QB the Carolina Panthers.

Presumption of innocence is a legal term. Neither the NFL nor society has that obligation.

As for Trump he didn’t lead crap and he is guilty in my eyes. But yet he still gets his due process. And might even get elected again.

Also FU for bringing up and defending that cancer in a thread that has nothing to do with politics you petulant child.

"Presumption of innocence" is for criminal cases, which are filed and controlled by law enforcement.

Watson is currently the defendant of a civil case, which is filed and controlled by the victim(s). As civil cases do not determine guilt or innocence, the presumption of innocence does not apply.

(In)action by the league also is not a great determining factor as to whether or not somebody accused by 20+ individuals.

"But Trump got away with it, so should Deshaun" is also an absolute poo take.

    • To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.
    • Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
