Wailing for pages about the offensive coordinator but the second someone suggests the quarterback actually shares responsibility for giving the ball to the other team it's time to go on the attack. Sounds like a great recipe to keep this franchise stuck at only 7 winning seasons.

You mean we likely win despite our most important player turning the ball over 3 times. If he gets a pass in some degree for the turnovers then we have to look back at just how much credit he deserved for our stellar defense and CMC having a billion touches when we were 3-0. The loss of McCaffrey alone should not turn him right back into Jets Sam Darnold. He's a fourth year pro and still boom or bust. There are only six starting quarterbacks with a lower passer rating than Sam Darnold entering week 6. One is 39 year old Ben the others are Davis Mills Jacoby Brissett and three rookies from this years draft class.

Chuba Hubbard had 134 yards but he's Ted Ginn? Everybody is a scapegoat to the Sam Darnold jock sniffers. Yet you talk about Jets fans. Hilarious.

Dude...you may need a break. You seem a bit...testy. All this because some folks won't put all the blame on Sam!?

I know right?

With all the things that went into that loss to Philly. Trying to pin it all on Sam is a bit short sighted. But hey, maybe that's just me?

I mean, that game was a complete shiitshow. Plenty of blame to go around.

It appears that when Sam plays well, our O plays well. IMO, all we need to do is figure out how to make Sam play well, more often. Easy Peasy.

How many teams in the nfl win when their qb turns the ball over three times including the final offensive play? Not many I'd say.

You trying to lump all the blame on Sam is not only shortsighted, but probably biased. More to that loss than just Sam.

Nobody said all. But taking care of the football is part of the job. It was no different for Bridgewater or Allen or Newton or Delhomme who had his fair share of interceptions.

When you said this "How many teams in the nfl win when their qb turns the ball over three times including the final offensive play? Not many I'd say." You put ALL the blame on Sam. By leaving out any other causes, you left Sam as the only cause. Maybe choose your words more carefully, or try not to speak in absolutes.

The rest is just you throwing more shade at Sam.

You hate Sam, just admit it. Quite clouding it in veiled inuendo. Come out and let it flow.

The other causes were not the final play. Sam had the ball in his hands with a good opportunity to win and he gave it to the other team and they ran out the clock. It sucks but those are the facts and no amount of spin or accusations of hate or other tomfoolery changes that 🤷‍♂️

So not only do you put ALL the blame on Sam. But you can pinpoint it to one play.

I'll give you one play. No blocked punt, and we win. See, how that works out for me?

Listen, Sam had a bad game. It's fair to say that. But there was more to that loss than just Sam. Quit being obtuse. It's a team game, and our team lost that game, not just Sam.

Picking ONE play to define a game is disingenuous. Unless you have an ax to grind. Sounds like it is both to me.

Yes.  We all agree on that.  Sam did bad.  Bad Sam.  Bad.

This thread is discussing whether Joe Brady should just be putting it all on execution, or should he be listening to his players.

Expecting Robbie to be great at contested catches, shows a lack of understanding of Robby's skillset.  He's a speedster with hands, he's best flying down field.  Having him run down and outs over and over,  and then expecting a successful catch on a down and out is very clearly a scheme issue.  Joe Brady appears to see no problem with it.  When he could have had Robbie double then deep more often to keep the DB honest so Robby doesn't have to win a contested catch when he does run the down out.

Its like expecting Chubba and Ian Thomas to be our checkdowns when they have high drop%, and then blaming execution when they drop the ball.

Its blaming Chubba for not getting the first down on 4th-1 when we run him up the gut against a stacked box.

Those aren't execution.  Those are scheme and playcall issues.  Joe Brady in this press conference put it all on the players by saying it was an execution issue, over and over.

I'm begining to think Joe Brady is a missed opportunity.

IMO, Brady is as much a part of this rebuild as anything. It really is only his 2nd year as OC. He is learning on the job just like a lot of the team.

I'm not quite ready to write him off just yet.

I agree that he should grow.

The only way he improves  is for him to see that he needs to improve.  Right now, he is putting it all on the players by saying it was execution.  There's no hope for growth if he can't see he needs to.

Watch this press conference in the OP and compare to Snow's after the Dallas game.  Snow owns it.  Brady is blaming the players.

    • Everyone. Just take a chill pill. It’s Cinco De Mayo. We didn’t get blown out or lose a close game(0-0 3rd overtime). We showed we have fight and beat them on 5v5 easily. Which shakes them more than us not being good on PK. Because everyone knows when we are slow we have bad faceoff goals on the PK.
