NFL is a different game....hes in over his head...and he thought cause he knows money he could accomplish anything...WRONG

A lot of these business guys that buy in to NFL and other pro sports get in over their heads. Sure, they made a fortune running fast food places, predatory lending, ripping people off but it’s a different ball game. I want Tepper to succeed I really do but you’ve got to be humble and willing to listen to people who may know more than you even if you have more money in your wallet than they do in their bank account.

I know Mark Davis looks like a 60 year old man child and has one of the worst haircuts ever but I don’t think he is that bad of an nfl owner.

Talking about this?

poo like this really makes me question my Panthers fandom.

Tepper has some kind of problem with Cam, I guess he is one of the Cam has a fake smile type of guys.

How do you try to erase the best player in our franchise's shitty history.

This is basically Teppers problem.

He hired the only guys he could find who knew almost nothing about the NFL to go along with his inexperience.

There is something personal with Tepper and Cam. I don’t know what and I doubt any of us will ever know. I know Tepper was allegedly one of the minority owners trying to get the Steelers brass to fire Mike Tomlin. Not a good look either. Tomlin is a solid coach.

I mean he did fire Hurney and Rivera. It was time for them both to leave. Hurney especially. And to his credit Ruhle was a hot coaching candidate and the Joe Brady move was a splash hire as well - and the Fitterer move seemed like a good one. I really want Tepper to succeed here. He isn’t gonna sell the team so our only hope is he gets humbled and hires the right people. I think he is overplaying his 5% ownership in the Steelers. He isn’t some mastermind NFL executive.

They lied in their press release something like “the panthers and cam have decided to mutually part ways” or some poo and cam commented “don’t try to twist poo I did not want to leave. You released me”

So Cam would not tow the company line after Tepper probably asked him to say it was mutual.

Cam had more swag and bigger balls than Tepper and he could not stand it.

We have to be one of the only teams to use up a franchise qb in 7 seasons, play him hurt for a couple of seasons, and then discard him like trash.

Remember rhule’s “be the brand” poo? Cam doesn’t fit that. He’s his own brand. I really think rhule would not know how to handle a superstar like Cam. He is a control freak.

Pretty much. Thats why he has picked guys like Bridgewater and Darnold. Guys who are not alphas.

    • No you dont.  He had all those records for years before his final season. Whether career or season he had them all years before his final season in which he played 6 games.
    • Williams covered for Moore by saying they were on the wrong page about Moores specific route. Williams could have easily covered for him by saying he messed up. Suggesting only 1 route was ever intended to be a viable target is absurd.
    • I am going to agree with Linville this time--I think we need to get a veteran edge (We have Jones II, Scourton, and Princely--2 developmental guys and a decent veteran).  We don't really think of Jones because he had a hamstring injury weeks 3 and 4 and a back that required surgery Week 6-17.  He still managed 10 pressures, and he will be 28.  Princely Umanmielen only played in approximately 18-20% of the snaps and he struggled at times.  Basically, he was a situational pass rusher.  He got 1.5 sacks and 10 pressures.  He should improve, but for now, he is what he is.  Scourton gives us hope.  For a rookie (and thanks to Jones II's injuries, he was given more PT), he had 8 sacks--and held the edge.  He played at a first-round draft pick level.  He has the potential to become "that guy" in 2026. We lose Wonnum, who played nearly 700 snaps and amassed 3 whole sacks.  For a person raised a Gamecock, I would not be upset if we purged our roster of all South Carolina alumni.   However, I see it this way:  Wonnum was decent holding the edge, something Patrick Jones II and Scourton have demonstrated at a high level.  He is a liability, if you ask me.    Jones had 7 sacks one season in Minnesota and is known for his inside rushing ability--not what you would call a speed rusher.  I think Princely was a bit disappointing, but he was a bit raw.  Out of college, they described him as being a bit predictable.  I see no reason he will not improve in 2026 and become a situational pass rusher.   Basically, with Scourton and Princely expected to continue to develop and Jones II returning from injury, I think we need another veteran (if we can get a good one) to give us balance and depth.  A third developmental player is not ideal.   Draft:  OT, LB, WR, OL depth, S. Free Agency:  Edge, possibly a WR;  re-sign Mays, Cuhran, BC (??), and Nijman.  Let walk:  Wonnum, Scott, Dowdle.  I see about $20m per year after signing the OL depth.  Spend it on a veteran edge.   Players like Reddick (Tampa), Bosa (Buffalo), Khalil Mack (LAC) could be available on a one or two year deal in the $15m range.  We could splurge here, but I think a veteran situational pass rusher (depending on Jones II's back) is all we need while our 2 young guns develop.
