People (including myself) were quick to crown Brady after the dramatic offensive turnaround at LSU, but in hindsight I think that was more of a condemnation of their OC's prior offensive system that had last been seen when football was played wearing leather helmets. They had a stud NFL QB. A guy who already looks like the best WR in football as a rookie. Multiple NFL OLs. A legit starting NFL RB. I mean, they were fuging LOADED with talent. Hindsight being 20/20, yeah what they did was impressive as hell but it's not as shocking as it looked at the time simply because the turnaround was so dramatic.

Seriously bro, defense had a bad day and cant afford another one. Honestly I dont see us making the playoffs. I just hope they see enough in Cam to extend him. Get a oline in the draft and maybe a vet and next year we are in there. SB run next year. This year we could but very unlikely but it can happen. This isnt the defense that we know it to be and 1 game or 2 bad games this season isnt that bad. They will get in rhythm next week and make a push.

Most agree we need to look at OC options moving forward but we also need to shift investment priorities. We can't have Joe Brady fall on his sword and expect a real NFL caliber offensive coordinator to be in a big hurry to clean this up if we are still dedicating the majority of our resources to defense.

I'm not ready to just move on from Brady. I'm ready to move on from Rhule too.

It'd help to not skip over numerous starting OG in the draft when you have the worst G combo in the NFL.

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
