He will be extremely expensive and yes pay him

Then we should let Reddick walk.

He is a one dimensional LB.

Too high of odds Rhule would be gone at some point in 2022.  A one dimensional LB isn't something that fits every scheme like a Luke or Peppers.  Then you have an overpaid LB that might not fit the next scheme to be worth the money.

Gotta admit…being the last Panther fan that truly believes in this team’s leadership feels amazing.  People need to learn that loyalty and patience mean something.  Rhule is going to get us there…he just needs time and support

Jags should of kept Urban then.  Loyalty and patience.

nothing about Rhule career in Carolina or back to college says he can get it done.  He college resume was weak too.

Man…Reddick is an amazing player.  We need to keep him.  Before last season people bitched and moaned how we got no pressure.  Now he isn’t important?  GTFH

Rhule is staying…thank god.  I fuggin hope we can resign him after his contract runs out.

price matters.  So does not being one dimensional.

We actually generated decent pressure last season too.   Didn’t always equal sacks but the pressure numbers were good.   Burns generates pressure.  But Burns being so one dimensional matters too.  Especially when we look at what to do with him later.

A pass rusher like him is incredibly important.  He will be maybe the top none QB FA.  We need to keep him here.  He basically made us #2 in defense…lol…maybe to strong but he has been a pro bowl player.  Sign him

Again, all depends on the price.   Being dimensional makes you a double edged sword.

you can’t pay those type players like aren’t one dimensional.

we are 19th in points allowed.  We aren’t the #2 defense.  We happen to be ranked 2nd in yardage allowed.

If we had the #2 actual defense in the NFL (with a legit HC) like you claim…..we wouldn’t be 2-11 over our last 13 games.  Bad offense or not.

Glad you agree Rhule’s college resume was weak and he hasn’t shown diddly in the pros yet.

Rhule is building this team.  I haven’t seen anything from Panther players indicating they don’t believe in him.  He is a great coach and leader.  He never called out Cam.  He said the QBs can’t have turnovers.  Cam loves Rhule because he is a realistic coach.  People need to chill Matt Rhule is a building block and this team will be great in a few years.

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
