This can be a playoff team next year if we bring Cam back......

You can’t be serious right now ? Dallas has a worst supporting cast ? The bengals ? Steelers ? Raiders ? If anything this proves my point. Those teams have nfl coaches we currently don’t, those teams have significantly better offensive weapons than we do too. Prime Joe Montana isn’t covering the blemishes of this roster and coaching staff.

No, it disproves your point. In terms of statistical value add, the non-QB Panthers are decidedly middle-of-the-pack. And coaching clearly isn't massively hampering that area, since they're average.

QB is far-and-away the biggest weak point. Appreciate you may have a different worldview, but the metrics do not reflect your contention.

For posting (pretty standard) stats that say the Panthers, ex. QB, are an average team? Vs. what, you just claiming otherwise with no backing other than "that's how I think it is?"

Cam had a 120+ Rating in one start that resulted in a loss. Bring up the PFF graphic of our offensive line performance against Miami .. so out of 5 Cam starts, there's two right off the bat that had nothing to do with QB play

You are cherry picking to the extreme. And he was awful in the other three starts. His QB rating in that Miami game was 5.8[!]. You really think that was all on the OL?

The Panthers were an average team, ex. the QB room, last season, and the stats prove it out. Cam and Darnold hindered, rather than elevated, them last season.

Mahomes or anyone else would be awful with an offensive line performance like @ Miami

Would Mahomes have been had a 58 QB rating across the 3 games that followed?

And why, since you still haven’t addressed it, do you think that Panthers consistently graded as a middling team by QB-agnostic metrics, across the full season? Is there a conspiracy to make it look like Carolina’s QB play is the issue when it really isn’t?

The defense brings that rating ex. QB up. I don't need a stat to know our line was trash this year. Cam had no time.

Out of curiosity, what you you think a full season Cam stat line looks like in ‘22 if he played on (your definition of) an average team? Something like his Pats days (top 5 OL, subpar weapons)? Panthers pomp? Something else?

Better than his MVP year with consistent protection + Moore, Robbie, CMC and a full preseason

Idk how these statistics are relevant to our specific team, you can’t just take how good a qb is doing on another team and system and assume plugging him into to ours, and expecting the same results, it doesn’t work that way and multiple posters have posted why.

if the patriots felt the team they field in 2020 was only missing a qb they wouldn’t have spent a record margin in free agency.

If Rhule’s system was working we wouldn’t about to be on our 5th qb in 2 years, joe Brady would still be here also, those are facts. Bringing a statistics that states playoff teams had a worst supporting cast than us is asinine, there’s literally a game we played without a fg unit and I’m supposed to believe that was a better cast than the bengals ?

Seeing as he fielded a 52 rating in the superbowl with better offensive talent than we have that’s an easy yes. No o line and it doesn’t matter who’s at wr or te

and your argument is flaw seeing as numerous qbs have left one system and thrived in another

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
