..I don't care, I've been with this team for to long to just quit after 10 games..we're not 0-10, or 1-9, or 2-8..we're still mathematically in the playoff race, and until otherwise, I'm not giving up hope....Anything can happen people..

You do realize how much help we need and then to win out? WE is done, man. Except it now, it will be easier in 6 weeks. Still pull for the team, I will and I'm sure most will too. I don't care what they say about wanting to lose out to get Foxy out of here. But it's over for the Panthers in 2009.

I agree, there is no way this team will win out the rest of the way and make the playoffs. I will still be cheering for them to win every game, I just wish I knew no matter what Fox was out of here. I am tired of this brand of football and its time for a change. Fox has taken this team as far as it can go and there is no way he is going to change his ways while here in Charlotte. That being said, I can see this team finishing 7-9 and even 8-8, if they got lucky maybe even 9-7. If any or those records happen I am afraid JR will give Fox another year :yikes:

I will play your dumb little game. The Panthers do make the playoffs..

A) John Fox is back next year.

B) Jake is starting again next year.

C) The first draft pick would be 50-60

D) If they pulled off a 1st round W 99% chance they would not beat NO or MIN @ home in a playoff environment.

E) If they pulled D) off (which unless you believe in Santa don't know why you would think that.) no way they are betting AFC's best.

Yup 2009 is in the books. Im sure we will go out in Foxy fashion and win a few more to become 7-9 or 8-8. Really the bad part happens in April when SF drafts with our pick.

Guest Jake Delhomme 17

Lets Run down our schedule

At Jets-Win-Williams & Stewart Runs well and Jake plays well.

Tampa Bay-Win- We blow Tampa Bay out.

At New England-Loss-We keep it close for a half but the pats pull away in the 2nd half.

Minn-Loss- AP to much for our defense.

At NYG-Win- Upset everything clicks for this one.

New Orleans-Win- We beat up on the Saints backups.

I have us going 8-8. I don't think that be enough sorry.

    • The last child @ home has told me he wants to go to a game, so we're seeing vs Rams on the 30th
    • Did we really shut them down though? They had 369 yards of offense.   That is 9 more yards than they average per game and 53 more than we give up per game this year.   If a team gave up 369 yards per game on defense, they'd be the 7th worst defense in the league this year. Yes, I will give our defense credit for having the 4th down stand near our goal line as well as creating the fumble that stopped their first drive, as they did rise to the occasion then, but even the INT was just a ridiculous play/throw and handed it to us and they also missed a FG. We didn't force them into a single punt all game.  We had 1 sack on a QB who had 37 pass attempts. They had drives of 56, 49, 50, 43, 58, and 71 yards (while we only had 2 over 40 yards ourselves). We bent, a lot, but never really broke, partially due to the Packers own mistakes, that's a far cry from "shutting them down" in my opinion.  Again, this is why I'm critical of us after a day like today, I'm able to look beyond a final score and evaluate how we played on the whole, and we keep squeaking out these wins despite not playing well at all.  And yes, that is what great teams do, but they also play well in the majority of their games, where as all we seem to do is squeak out ugly wins without ever playing all that well. I'm not saying I'm unhappy that we won, I've never once said anything like that, but when week after week I see serious concerns with how we played, then I'm going to call out what I see.
