Thank God the EPL is back on because our season is effectively over.

Overall, the organization really dropped the ball during the transfer window… our three transfers probably won’t be available for at a minimum of two weeks… by then, we’ll be completely out of the playoff picture and the season probably will have unraveled.

Another thing that needs to mentioned is the selfish play of our side.

I mean this is high school stuff… two goals could have been scored tonight if the individual on the ball picked their head up.

1) Gaines decided to take a shot on goal from a tough angle when he could have laid one off to Swiderksi at the penalty area for a sitter.

2) Alcivar decided to take a shot on net (that was deflected for a corner) when he had both Swiderski and Bronico with him; either player would have been in on goal if Alcivar made the pass.

I don’t know if these guys are watching film or what, but these scenarios happen nearly every match.

I don’t particularly like Swiderski’s body language when things don’t go his way but I’m now starting to understand why he does it. The poor vision and selfishness of the team is starting to cost us points.

Hopefully Santos brings over some of that vision from the first tier Portuguese football he’s been playing.

A little dramatic,  we need 50 points we aren't out of it. They will probably go out and win next match. They just aren't consistent but they're goof enough to get to 7th

Yeah I'm surprised he hasn't been carded more. He gets whiney and then pushy with opposing players. But completely agree, a lot of is justifiable frustration.

I wouldn't call it selfishness though. We just have no vision up the middle whatsover. Too reliant on attacking out wide and our forwards are not creative enough to score like that consistently. Our crosses are ok but we only play at the right pace for them when counterattacking. I really think Santos is going to be huge for us. Swiderski in particular should just be getting fed the ball and not have to create as much as he has.

Charlotte enters tonight’s contest 4 points out of 7th. I personally don’t think we can afford to drop points tonight, and at the very least need to come away with a draw to have any chance at the postseason. Unfortunately, we are matched up against an LAFC team that has only given up points in 7 of 23 contests this year.

GK - Kahlina

RB - Afful

RCB - Walkes

LCB - Sobocinski

LB - Mora

CDM - Bronico

RCM - McNeill

LCM - Bender

RW - Jozwiak

ST - Swiderski

LW - Reyna

Subs - Marks, Lindsey, Fuchs, Jones, Alcivar, Gaines, Vargas, Shinyashiki, Rios

Not Included - Sisniega, Romero

Not Available - Byrne, Malanda, Santos

Injured - Corujo, Armour, Mello

Loaned - Zendejas (Independence), Santos (Independence), Hegardt (Independence)

No Longer With The Team - Makoun, Franco, Ruiz, Ortiz

With our coaching do you believe we can compete?? The team just looks selfish and our assignments look very piss poor.   Not a lot of faith in Coach L.

    • Really? You don't see why a team can't draft a QB in the 1st round while then starting their former #1 overall pick over them while on the last year of their deal? It puts the team in a TERRIBLE place no matter how the season goes.  If Bryce sucks, you have to answer questions as to why he was still on the team to begin with, let alone starting over the rookie.  If he's good, then you run into the situation the Vikings were in last offseason with sticking with the rookie contract or the the guy who just performed instead of said young QB. It's one thing when teams keep a vet around as a bridge QB, it's something entirely different when that QB is still only in their mid 20's and was taken #1 overall by that team.   That just doesn't happen and not sure it ever has in NFL history before.
    • What is the alternative? - BY, will not play for less then his perceived contract (just like Cam Newton did). So you pay him top of market as befitting a 1st round, Heisman winning, playing birthing QB would get. Or you cut him. - Then we are forced to either sign a stop gap QB / previously failed QB and try to fix him or you spend a 1st round pick and draft a guy, basically resetting the team.  The reality is that we all want a top 5 QB. The problem is there are only 5 of those guys in the world and drafting, even #1 overall doesn't guarantee that.  The other problem is the NFL market. Young QB get paid. Even an average, young QB gets top of market deals. I know a lot of people here think we could sign him to an 'average QB contract' but thats not reality. Didnt happen with Cam wont happen with BY.  So we could let this season flush out and he is again a middling QB. But then we cut and restart or accept it is what it is (including compensation) and build a team around what we have.  My money is on the latter.
