Our path is far worse, unfortunately. While they didn't get much in terms of compensation, at least they got something. Losing Cam and trying to replace him has only cost us more and more.

All this while we very intentionally stripped almost all talent from the roster.

As bad as it will be as a Seahawks fan, they got a title and an amazing run while they go back to square one. We are sliding back ever further into the Bengals/Browns/Jets category of ineptitude.

In terms of solid draft assets to rebuild we are absolutely behind.  I do want to mention we have a healthy CMC, a healthy Horn and lots of talent on defense to build on.  QB isn’t getting fixed but we have to fix the trenches.  Safety is a need as a serious second.  Agree though, FA is going to probably take away from the defense

Yeah, I think we are in a similar situation.  Their division is way better but their OL isn’t great either and we have a better defense.   Still, without a QB both of us are in rebuilding mode.  Both teams feel years away man…unfortunately

Reality is difficult to accept sometimes.  They are years away.  Our only hope is a miracle find at qb that you could build around.  I just can't see this current staff pulling it off any otherway.

Safety is a second need? On the Panthers???

Damn. You are stupid.

Sliding back? Brother we are already there.

Man, QB is the ultimate misery.  Finding one is extremely difficult and being the Panthers means you almost have to draft one.  You can’t force it but you really have to TBH

Tepper wants the impossible, to make this attractive to an elite QB like Stafford, Watson, Wilson, etc. It just isn't gonna happen. You need to build something players believe in first and we are failing miserably at that.

We have no real option for finding an elite QB other than the draft. That's it.

Now, on a weirdly positive note, we should be seeing top 5-10 picks for quite some time, so as long as we don't squander more opportunities, we will have a lot of shots to get a guy.

Whether we have a team that will allow them to make us successful, who knows?

Honestly, yeah. I think we are too. There is a small shred of hope somewhere in me that thinks maybe with a new coach it will all be better but the warning signs are all there. Talented depleted roster, bad salary cap decisions and bad contracts, poor roster decisions, poor drafting, and worst of all......meddling, dumb fug owner.

Everything is there to make us a cellar dweller for decades.

Chinn is better as on OLB hybrid player.  That said we need safety.  Maybe 2.  Just my opinion but disagree if you like

It's more luck than anything.  I've watched a lot of football and trying to predict who's going to make it in the league is like trying to pick the winning lottery numbers.

I don't see that changing overnight.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
