Chalie Weis/ Jimmy Clausen package?

not as head coach, but as OC. Lets face it, Weis is a horrible head coach. But he is one of the best Offensive Coordinators in the game. And I'm not really sold on Jimmy Clausen, but why not bring in both of them? Jimmy knows his system. Sounds like a long shot, but it could be a good idea. Maybe im just confused.

I am not sold on any coordinators from NE. If there had been a drop in the team maybe, so I am not buying it. There doesn't seem to be a drop from losing Josh McDaniels. So until you can prove it's the coordinators and not Belichick, no thanks. And no thanks to the pickle boy too.

Don't get rid of the Davidson he is not the problem and everyone needs to understand that. If were going to get rid of some folks lets start with Jeff Rodgers (Special Teams Assistant), followed by Brian Baker (Defensive Line Coach), which is then followed by Danny Crossman (Special Teams Coordinator), which all leads up to the firing of John Fox (Head Coach).

John Fox (Head Coach) - It's just his time to go. He needs to go.

Jim Skipper (Assistant Head Coach/Running Backs) - His job is safe considering we have the 3rd best rushing attack in the NFL. He needs to stay.

Jeff Davidson (Offensive Coordinator) - Our offense is average, ranked 15th in the NFL, and with a new coach Davidson could get the offense ranked higher. He needs to stay.

Ron Meeks (Defensive Coordinator) - The Panthers total defense ranks 11th in the NFL which is pretty good considering this is his first year with the Panthers. He needs to stay.

Danny Crossman (Special Teams Coordinator) - Anyone associated with the special teams needs to be FIRED!!! He needs to go.

Brian Baker (Defensive Line) - Our rushing defense is awful, it's ranked 26th in the NFL and it all starts with the DL, the DL also needs to get more pressure on the QB, the Panthers are ranked 24th in sacks in the NFL. He needs to go.

Geep Chryst (Tight Ends/Quality Control Offense) - The tight ends have improved a bunch this year. He needs to stay.

Mike Gilhammer and Ron Millus (Secondary) - The Panthers have the 5th best pass defense in the NFL, the 3rd best receiving defense in the NFL, and tied for 8th in the NFL regarding interceptions. They both need to stay.

Dave Magazu (Offensive Line) - The line is strong and is making room for that two-headed monster back there. He needs to stay.

Sam Mills III (Quality Control Defense) - Have no problem with him. He needs to stay.

Jeff Rodgers (Special Teams Assistant) - Once again anyone that takes any part in the special teams needs to be FIRED!!! He needs to go.

Rip Scherer (Quarterback) - Not going to judge him until he gets to work with a real Quarterback. He needs to stay.

Jerry Simmons (Strength and Conditioning) - The Panthers have one of the strongest and well conditioned team in the NFL. He needs to stay.

Richard Smith (Linebackers) - The Panthers Linebackers are top notch all the way down the depth chart there is talent. He needs to stay.

Richard Williamson (Wide Receivers) - He does a great job even when we don't have a Quarterback that can throw the ball or a coach that will let the Quarterback throw the ball. He needs to stay.

This is what I would do.

so you want to hire a new head coach but not let him hire his own guys to run his system. Recipe for success.

    • You don’t even need 1b because Tepper is the only one foolish enough to wheel that deal.    Player wise? Jake’s elbow. JR and Pep getting sideways, no Carruth, Cam’s shoulder, Luke’s concussions, it would be a long list of stuff. You can take it down to certain plays in games. Fox chasing 2 point conversions in the SB would be on my list. RMJr slipping at the end of that same game was not helpful.
    • Ultimately this just amounts to heavy revisionist history. I mean you aren't talking to someone that just popped out the womb a week ago. I was here all throughout the predraft process. The overwhelming majority of the fanbase felt like this was a fine situation and the best situation for a rookie QB to go to compared to Houston for example. The hype for Young and our "rockstar" staff was off the charts. No one could dare speak cautious skepticism of his abilities or they would be neg repped into oblivion. Only after he had one of statistical worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years did we get this narrative now that his rookie season actually shouldn't count. Complete malarkey if you ask me.
    • On the field? Since I guess it qualifies as multiple instances it might not count, but have the damn refs throw some flags on illegal hits to Cam's head in SB50. If that doesn't count, 1A. Cotchery caught it 1B. Kasey keeps that kickoff inbounds. Off the field? 1A. Team is sold to anyone but Tepper 1B. We have the patience not to mortgage the franchise on that Bryce trade. Stroudwpuldve been the better pick but he's not worth it either.
