The Giants prefered Neal and the Panthers prefered Ekonwu...I guess the Giants thought someone could trade up with the Panthers for Kayvon

I laughed too but I think their logic was actually  sound because  they probably  knew we would trade our pick to the Eagles(to take Kayvon) and be screwed. This way they assured  they got the top d player on their board.

Fitt said as much in his presser after the pick.  Said after the corners and pass rushers went off the board, the trade offers died down immediately.
