I guess we'll see, unless Corral  decimates him in camp, or we pull the trigger on a vet.

I'll honestly be surprised if Darnold is ultimately on the roster. I mean, we've publicly shat all over the guy all off-season, just like we did Teddy previously. We gotta learn to not shitball over guys while they're still on the roster.

The huddle has predicted that micromanager Rhule will

1) F up the new coach selections.  No good coaches will want to come here.
2) Ignore the new coaches OR ignore Fitt during the draft.  Our draft is going to suck because we don't have a 2nd or 3rd.

Instead...
We have NFL experienced coaches who have shown success in their very positions.
We have an LT picked at 6, the very FIRST offensive player off the board.
We have the QB that our new OC wanted.
We have highly rated linemen in Bozeman and Corbett.

Now it is possible that the prediction is true that Rhule will play Erving or Elflien over Ikem, Corbet or Bozeman, but I doubt it.

In fact I'll bet you avatar for avatar that outside of injury, Ikem, Corbet, Bozeman and Taylor are in the starting lineup day 1.

You literally don't have an avatar.

It took until the 2nd post for this to turn into a thread about Darnold which of course inevitably lead to Rhule sucks.

'm sure this OL which be much better than last season's. Actually being a top 10 OL would just be the icing on the cake. Let's hope they live up to expectations. That alone will make us a better team overall.

I honestly think it was just the NFL getting film on him in this offense. Once they got the limited offense dialed in and could take away his first read, Sam was cooked. People are knocking Brady and he got scapegoated but our offense changed dramatically going from Teddy to Sam. Teddy was limited in his ability to physically deliver but Sam was limited on his ability to mentally process. The latter proved even more limiting to the overall offense than the former. We were basically running a high school offense last year because it's all Sam could grasp.

I genuinely agree our offense was so limited and Sam can definitely take a large portion of the blame for that. But, our offensive gameplan was also limited because no QB in our offense had any time in the pocket so we couldn’t throw the ball deep heck or even medium. Teams knew Sam struggles with pressure and just blitzed his ass all day and with CMC out our first read was not often a good option. Honestly Sam is probably one of the worst QBS under pressure I’ve watched, he’s 95% never going to be anything more then a backup. But there is a perfect situation where our oline holds up and CMC is his first read just like for the first 3 weeks last year. Let’s make Sam look good and get something of value in return of him.

Sunk cost my dude. Tepper should well know that you don't hold onto a bad investment.

Except that there's actually zero evidence that investment knowledge has translated to the world of football and plenty to the contrary.

Very true man we really just had to pickup his 5th year option. Personally I see no reason to cut Sam, just let him play out his option year and let him walk. I am actually very optimistic about this team our Oline could actually be decent looking at who we signed this is gonna be a real ground n proud offense with a really solid defense. Last year we gave up such bad field positioning every drive to our defense. My hot take is we make the wildcard in the weak NFC.
