Brandon Zylstra just Moss’d someone for a goal line TD. I didn’t see who was in coverage.

Touchdown Rashard Higgins on a delayed under route from Sam Darnold. Hollywood caught it with no one round, slowed into the end zone & leaped in. Entire offensive line rushed to join celebration.

Up next, Darnold threw back-to-back TDs, one to Tommy Tremble, the other to Shi Smith. Corral followed that up with two more TD passes.

Robbie Anderson took a few reps during opening red zone session. Baggy blue hoodie & amber visor + new number = saucy.

And then Darnold hits Tommy Tremble and Shi Smith for TDs on consecutive passes.

Practice began with a 7 on 7 red zone session. Sam Darnold took first 4 reps. Matt Corral went next, throwing a left corner TD to TE Stephen Sullivan on his first pass.

Panthers first-round pick Ickey Ekwonu said his goal is ‘'100 percent'' to be the starting left tackle in training camp. He also showed skills as a receiver on a TD catch from Sam Darnold in Thursday's final practice of OTAs.

Ikem Ekwonu says he’s actually had two catches this spring, so hopes he showed coaches he can do it in a game.

Ikem Ekwonu on the potential to face Browns' DE Myles Garrett and Steelers' T.J. Watt:

"That's something I'm excited for. Going up against the best of the best is going to be test for me."

Ickey’s been to a basketball camp in Spartanburg, so he’s aware of the heat that’s in his future. (Not that it hasn’t been Spartanburg hot this week.)

“I chose to wrestle, but I could have played basketball."

Ikem Ekwonu said he's been to Wofford once for a JV basketball tournament. He claims he averaged a double-double, 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Ikem Ekwonu says he plans to train some in Charlotte and some elsewhere and hopes to close the gap between him and the vets conditioning-wise.

Ikem Ekwonu at the podium, says “the violence will never leave me.”  (That’s a thing offensive linemen say.)

Talks about the benefit of doing drills against Brian Burns, which will give him a sense of what NFL speed looks like.

Panthers rookie quarterback Matt Corral sounds more confident now that he's completed OTAs. He plans to spend time in Florida training over the next five weeks before heading to Florida for family time.

When does Panthers' rookie QB Matt Corral think he will be ready to compete with Sam Darnold for the starting job? "Whenever coach [OC Ben McAdoo] says I'm ready, I'm ready.'' Sounds confident.

Matt Corral said the biggest thing for him is learning the playbook.

Corral said the biggest challenge of the weeks before camp will be “not taking a day off mentally.”

He’s taking his playbook with him everywhere he goes, and staying in it to get himself ready.

Rhule says he's not sure who will be the No. 1 left tackle when Panthers get to camp. Says Brady Christensen is one of the best players on the team (any position), so expect them to find a spot for him -- whether it's LT or LG.

Either Ikem Ekwonu or Brady Christensen, who has practiced at LT and LG, will start camp at LT.

The coaching staff will evaluate after this, Rhule says.

Matt Rhule said he expects everyone, all the players, to be a full go by training camp.

Daviyon Nixon, who is recovering from a  knee injury, is the only who has a ways to go.

Matt Rhule said all the coaches and personnel guys will take time off over the next five weeks so they can be ready for training camp in late July.

Matt Rhule: Difference in Sam Darnold from OTAs last year to this year is "night and day." But Rhule said if there's someone they can bring in to make the team better -- at any position -- they're going to do it.

Nobody is buying this bullshit, as soon as Corral can run the offense Sam needs to be on the bench.

    • Why are Vikings fans acting like we peed in their cereal?
    • I’m actually fine with our TE group. I would like to see us upgrade at ILB, maybe safety and CB.   I think we are good at WR. I thought Corley could have been a good player but I guess he wasn’t doing good at all.   I came across this article about Corley from today. I know sometimes a change of scenery can really help turn around a player and we’ve seen plenty of players from the jets end up being good other places. I just don’t know if Corley is that guy.   https://www.newsweek.com/sports/nfl/jets-insider-shares-embarrassing-fact-about-malachi-corleys-release-2119816
    • I was really rooting for him after seeing that video about his struggles. I always thought he was a solid and underrated player.   I thought for sure he would have made the team after hearing all the hype and how he made that overthrown catch by Plummer behind the line and still was able to gain a yard or two off it. Plummer really overthrew him each time yet he was able to still not lose yards. I think he still could play in the nfl. I think he may need a few months to get into top form though. Hopefully he will get signed to another team.
