Name a team with a winning record that has only 1 good WR.

your right no options but people are getting open and if you cant get them the ball it is hard to be productive as a reciever...not saying they are good by any means but if there was a qb who could get them the ball then we might at least be able to see whether they are worth keeping around (jarrett)

Colts

they atleast have a franchise QB than can get them the ball...look at pierre garcon

Texans?

I think WR is weak too but we have other options to use and be creative with. Mike Goodson comes to mind for example. Kenny Moore could certainly be used more. Gary Barnidge has not seen near enough looks this season. And lets not forget that Jake often times does not see open receivers down field.

Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne.

Garcon is coming on because of those two creating matchup problems

^ this, Clark might as well be a receiver, and he's arguably the best TE in the game, so yeah. Manning spreads the ball around and never focuses on Wayne, Delhomme stares down Smitty EVERY SINGLE PLAY like he's a chick running around topless, it's ridiculous. I knew coming into this game he'd try and force passes to smith and Revis would take advantage.

I do agree that we need a legit #2, and I think Golden Tate would make an awesome receiver and he will probably fall to round 2.

I tried. I don't think our receivers are as bad as people make them out to be. Check out the Vikings last year. All they needed as a quality QB and now Sidney Rice is breaking out. We get a quality QB and give guys like Barnidge, Jarrett, and Moore an actual chance and we might be singing a different tune.

bengals

cowboys (though good luck finding which WR that would be)

chargers (gates doesn't count, he's a TE and you said WR)

colts (clark doesn't count because you said WR)

falcons (gonzo is a TE)

ravens (mason is the only one. you can't really call clayton "good")

    • I expect Young to play better and the team to play better.  Week one is something I refuse to give much weight to, going back to when we had 4 preseason games.    All kinds of unpredictable outcomes happen week one. Seen it too many times to discount that. Since the 17 game schedule, I don’t pay much mind to results and how the units look until week 3. The units just need time to get the teamwork and timing together under real conditions. Not a series at 90% in preseason. That won’t do it. And it is hard to get around it.  But Frank is right when he points to the difference in how the offense looks with an NFL level arm behind center. Seattle in 2023, Vegas in 2024, were just liberating for the passing game.    This Bryce ball is no fun to watch unless he is having a day where  everything is clicking. Which I think we saw one time. Out of 29. Meh.
    • Doesn't help that Coen beat up on Evero's defense pretty good last season both times. Looks (and sounds, according to TLaw) like he has the scheme figured out. 😮
    • Yeah, it’s not complicated. is a seam route a hospital ball? No. can a seam route be a hospital ball ? Yes.   if you are throwing seam routes do you need to make sure you don’t hang your TE/WR out to dry? Yes.  Because of injury.  as a former NFL QB explained….Bryce was late with the throw (common issue with Bryce) and  threw it too far up field.  So a seam route became a hospital ball. result? An incompletion that got his WR banged up  honestly have no clue what Bryce defenders are doing at this point.   I’m out on talking about all his bad throws from Sunday.
