Rod and Dundon Appreciation Thread

Dundon is a god send as a fan. He knows what he doesn't know and hired people to make those calls. Then he sits back and watches. If poo goes sideways, he lets the guys figure it out and they have. He doesn't insert himself but I'm sure if we had sustained problems he'd be talking to his people and making changes that everybody feels are best.

Tepper is a man child who doesn't like being questioned on his decision making. Huge difference.

He’s truly a fan, his recent interview about all of the stadium (and surrounding area) renovations was great. He’s going to turn that area into an awesome place to be on game day.

He really gets it.

Oooh I missed that. What they doing?

They are going to convert all the parking into bars, restaurants, retail stores, hotels, apartments, office space, and a live music venue, Dundon is also going to add a sportsbook at PNC arena.

As for parking, they are going to add garages and have designated tailgating areas.

So just small changes then😳

Hahaha, they are projecting it could take 10 years before the project reaches full completion as it’s not a small task but it should make the area a lot more fun on game day.

Nothing currently gets me going more than walking past the Wolfpack’s practice facility and parking lots on the way inside PNC arena… lol.

I think surrounding the stadium with entertainment is a great idea.

I’m usually incoherent by that point and being dragged in doors by the wife

Completely agree. Just adds to the game day experience, never understood stadiums and arenas in the middle of nowhere (PNC isn’t that bad).

The National rugby stadium in Wales is in center of City and game days were just amazing all day events

    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
    • Yea Bryce was definitely a top half qb the second half of last season but I'm not sure Canales is 100% sold on him.  Like I've said in another post I think that's part of why we talked to so many South Carolina players in the draft process.  I think they are doing early due diligence on Sellers just in case.
