Dan Henning

Looks what he's done in Miami. Everyone called for his firing.

Our coaching staff is very good. Arguably one of the best in the league.

Yes I agree that perhaps the weak link is Trgo however I can just see him getting fired and performing miracles somewhere else.

The grass is always greener - perhaps everyone should just knock it off.

Yea I think its more Parcells no tolerance for faliure thats made them into the team they are this year. You have to remember with Henning being at Carolina for as long as he was teams knew our snap count so we could never run the plays like we wanted to. So change was needed because henning was not going to change his ways.

Dan's what 66 or 67 old

Parcels hirred Dan to come in and install the same type offense Parcels has ran for years and won with. Yes the Wildcat was a new twist.

But I'm not sure Dan will be their more than 2 seasons

B /C he is getting old and his Offense will get stale as it did here.

The Miracle in MIAMI was Parcel

Henning's offense is like it always has been, mediocre at best. In points per game they are 22nd. Henning is almst always in the teens or low twenties. Miami is 10th in total yards but isn't that effective in the redzone. 11th in passing, 13th in rushing. Given where they were last year it is an upgrade but Henning has done what he does. He won't get any better from there.

So if Trgo does go somewhere else. And is successful, what would be the common denominator? The grass is only greener because the right fertilizer is spread. Maybe we need a new spreader. I'm not saying we do, but what if another coach leaves and is better elsewhere?

Our coaching staff is very good?? Are u kidding me...one of the best in the league?? I strongly disagree...We have great players...very average coaching staff..Off the top of my head I can think of 10 coaching staffs better than ours.

Miami doesn't turn over the ball that often but even more they are at a plus 14 in turnovers. That mean they cause more than they give up and that is huge. They also are sacking the opponents 15 times more than they are being sacked. And intercepting the ball twice as often as they throwing them.

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
