Could it be Walker and Brayton in the middle Sunday?

With Kemo's achy breaky ankle, Pierre Thomas's injury, and the fact that Brees will probably chuck it 50 times like he always does, you think they would put in Brayton at DT alongside Walker, for I guess what could be called a strict pass-rushing line?

Or will the Saints smell the blood drawn at DT and try to run it down our throats with McAllister?

All I know is I hope the Panthers know the implications of this game. A win and NO GAME next week, which means everybody gets to rest up and get healthy. Everybody.

We have put Brayton in at DT and Johnson at DE on a lot of passing downs so yeah we will do it. Kemo will be in on running downs as well as some passing plays if he is healthy enough to go. I expect that Walker will play in Lewis spot and Hayden will play as well. Bottom line it will be business as usual with Walker coming in for Lewis. Walker has been a stater in the past and won't necesarily be a drop off to Lewis. The line won't be in that bad of shape if Kemo plays. Plus NO does not have the line that the Giants have so it won't be the big issue it was last Sunday.

Last week, I expected them to adjust by doing more line stunts. Didn't really see it. This week, maybe, maybe not. As mentioned elsewhere, Walker fits in a lot better as a sub for Lewis than he would for Kemo.

One of the reasons Brayton came here was that the Panthers planned to use him in one position rather than moving him back and forth (something he felt had held him back). He might line up inside occasionally, but I'm hoping he doesn't have to do a full position switch, even if it's just one game.

We need to come up with something, really sucks going down 3 DT's in the past 2 weeks. Hopefully our run D will stand up enough to keep them to mostly passing downs. We'll see, but we do need everyone healthy come playoff time. would be better to get this win, and then have the extra week to recover.

    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
