This reminds me of all the "no motor" bullshit you guys scrounged up (the couple still around anyways) when first ballot hall of famer Peppers was here and you all scared him off. Then you had 15 years of our top DE being "checks notes" a coke addicted felon that's out of the league and pretended like everything was all good when Peppers came back.

Fact of the matter is, Burns would be a fuging beast on a better team and the whiners would cry when it predictably happens and he takes his place in the top 3 of the league when he actually has a good team that lets him actually take pass-rushing snaps during the game. Dude has never had a team to play with a lead in his career and still produced year after year only getting better. Its hilarious how bad of a take this is.

Whoever the coach and GM are going forward are going to have to figure out what positions and players we can afford. We are not paying big money to a quarterback, they will have to get the front office involved. We must figure out how to Bozeman, especially now with injury concerns on the OL.

Great point here on the not having leads. I can only remember the Lions game this year where he had a sizable lead and he feasted.

    • One thing I hope the whole BY and CJ thing leads to is the return of drafting QBs and letting them sit and learn a couple years as back-ups. Cam and that era of super rookie changed the game and we can't expect everybody coming in to be NFL ready. I think keeping Darnold and drafting BY or CJ to sit behind him til 2026 would have had monumentally better results.
    • I get things can be hard sometimes. Clearly you realize the thread title is basically word for word what some people have said about Bryce Young in the past (maybe you, judging by your reaction, though I honestly don’t remember or care). Did you read my post or did you just react immediately? Serious question. It’s as much about Bryce Young as any of the QBs, coaches, etc. that have been a part of a problem for years. It’s about a problem that was here before Bryce Young. I know you see anything Bryce Young related and it all goes red but if you could put any effort at all into reading and understanding I think it would be a welcome change for a lot of us judging by some of the reaction you are getting. Let me ask without including Bryce Young as part of the list since I know that is a sore subject: if we couldn’t push the ball downfield with Darnold, Baker, Rhule, Brady, Mcadoo, Bridgewater, Reich, Wilks, Brown, Fitterer, Hurney, etc. then why? What was the common underlying problem, if there was one? Challenge yourself to not say anything about Bryce Young. I know this might be tough.
    • There was a story about Bryce's dad wanting Legette before the draft that year . Bryce strongly vouched for Tmac (who admittedly is actually good). Steve Smith vouched for drafting Jonathon Mingo. All I'm saying is they are very susceptible to outside infulince other than the actual GM.  Even Bryce was probably much more of a Tepper pick than Fitterer being in love with him. Lot of different voices influencing draft picks is what I'm seeing. and many of them aren't qualified scouts lol.
