Lottery ticket is a bad example because it is totally random super low percentage, there is no skill or information that changes the odds.   That's not true in any football situation.

All you can do is try to learn from your mistakes and take another swing.  Everyone makes mistakes, especially when they are new at something.

Could definitely be a swing and a miss, I just feel like it's better than not swinging at all.

Swing on a coach that has worked in the NFL and has been involved in QB development. It's what we should have done all along. From there get yourself a stout defensive coordinator. But build up this offense first and foremost.
