WHO ARE WE PICKING AT # 1

I think Stroud fits Reich's offense the best and think he should be the favorite, but Young is going to be very good in the NFL for a long time. I worry about Young's Deep Ball more than his size, I dont think he's going to be hit enough to really have a huge injury risk, especially after seeing a number of short small guys survive fine in the NFL.

I like both of these guys a lot, and while they have questions I think both have some elite traits that can be developed to become a very good QB for us for a long time.

Go watch Luke McCown dissect Stroud and Young's tape. And you know he is going to have a TON of say of who the QB will be. No way in hell we trade all the way up to #1 to draft a project in Richardson or Darnold 2.0 in Will Levis.

Who is Luke McCown

    • Jackson is better on the outside. If we decided to press than I would put Lee and Horn on the outside and Thornton is the slot.  Evero seems to like zone coverage though (that may change with Lee's ability) so Jackson would be better suited on the outside.
    • Okay look… not to denigrate Al Wallace. He contributed and for a couple of years played a fairly important role.  But some perspective….   He was undrafted and caught on with a team or teams for a couple of years maybe. When the Panthers sighed him he had spent a year out of the league. As an Assistent principal.   Plus I don’t think Wallace was ever a regular starter. He just isn’t a high bar  No disrespect it is what it is.     A poor man’s Wallace might be teaching school.  Or maybe on a practice squad.
    • Must win game. If we stop falling asleep and crapping the bed in the 2nd period, I like our chances
