Sam Darnold was the 2018 QB. Not Mayfield, Allen, or Jackson. Firing Rhule was the key. Wilks, Darnold, CMC, Rico, TMac, Moore, and Coker would have gotten the job done. Toss in all the extra picks wasted on day one and day 2 project players, and the Panthers have a top defense too. -
That’s if you draft the wrong quarterback. Patriots aren’t having to do that. They are straight in year two. I suppose you could argue that they did draft the wrong one and then built like you said. The difference is, if that were the case, they moved on from their mistake. That’s what I am thinking about that. -
