Bigger offseason outrage?

At this point, I'd rather have Cowher than sticking with Fox. Even though he's not exactly "my guy" either.

But, this season Fox has shown me that the league has left him far behind. I really wish it wasn't true, but isn't there a saying about that?

Assuming the Panthers finish with a losing record, which outcome do you think would result in the bigger outrage on this board?

a) Panthers keep John Fox as head coach

B) Panthers snub Bill Cowher and instead go after an up-and-coming DC

You can take "snub" to mean either interview and not hire or not even interview.

Keeping John Fox.

If the Panthers wanted to go after Frazier because it makes more fiscal sense then I'll be pissed. BUT if they go after Frazier because they see a potentially great NFL HC then I'll be satisfied.

I would be happy with a coaching staff of:

Frazier

Meeks

IDK about OC but don't be surprised if Joe Lombardi comes up for some jobs. He is the Saints QB coach and has been on staff with them for a few years now. I know our philosophy is to run the ball and I want that to be our philosophy but I also want someone who can develop a great QB. He has worked with the best in the league for the last 3-4 years.

I don't like the idea of getting rid of fox. Our defense and running game is beastly, we just need a offensive coordinator that can make things happen.

But as long as Fox is in place, we will have the same offense.

Fox is calling the shots....understand it and accept it.

    • For the right price… but if they did they would be pulling a Tepper, because they are trying to evaluate Shough and taking his best WR away is making it hard on him.
    • see we are just not going to agree - unless you change your mind lol. Mine isn’t changing without hard evidence that Morgan supported it like a puppy dog.  He was the assistant. If he disagreed and said so, and they didn’t listen, he has to pick his battles. If he continued to oppose he is looking for work. He knows this stuff. I think he knows Bryce is a super long shot just because he faced NFL QBs and probably would have salivated at the thought of Bryce on the other side in his playing days.  Anyway I am going to judge him on what he has done since he’s been the man with the title.  I also would bet a stack that there were conditions placed on him and on Canales re Bryce Young. Can’t prove it. I am not supporting the Brooks pick, and rationalizing the XL pick. And rationalizing the Brooks pick to an extent, on the (assumed by me) mandate that was a condition of the hiring. Which was ‘sell out’ to make Bryce work. This year. Now. (2024) That is what those top two picks were.  IMO. They failed, id judged today.  I think Morgan is doing a great job really, once he got his feet under him and was allowed to do his job.  Fixing this team while accommodating Tepper/Bryce, more than a two year fix.    Anyhow I have beer to drink will check back later.
