Thought provoking stats...

When we're in that part of the year when we have no chance of a Championship I'm a big fan of rooting around for stats that provoke debate about players/plays/coaches.

Without looking it up, who has the Panther's all time 2nd highest career receiving yards per game for a TE? (no prizes for guessing no 1)

Walls is head and shoulders above the competition with 39.8 RecYds/Game

Rosario edges king: 14.5 to 13.9.

Despite accruing over 1400 yards Magnum took over 150 games to get there so a modest 11.3 yards per game.

Gaines has a mere 8.0, Wiggins just 4.6.

Note:

It would appear that the list I consult does not include games in which the player did not play in the offense (i.e. playing special teams does not count towards your total) this is important!

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
