I dont expect us to win this weekend. I hope we do, but we have a snowball's chance in Hell.

I will sit down for the game, pray we win, but to be honest we are not a good enough to beat Tom Brady, Welker, and Moss with 1 receiver and a B/U QB.

Like I said, its been a while since I looked at a game and thought we wouldnt win, but it is what it is.

Were just an average team playing a team who hasent lost 3 in a row since I can remember.

It will take Moore winning this one for us, and NONE of us know if he is capable of that.

It will be his biggest game yet.

Actually I think we match up pretty well against NE. I could see us holding our own, Their defense is not that good this year. I don't know though. We have won games like Arizona where we were given little chance and lost ones like to Buffalo when we totally outplayed them. I wish our offense was more potent.

Well we do play up to better teams, and down to bottom feeders. So look for us to score at least 30. :P

At least your honest. I'm gonna be hoping for a win & a grass-stained Brady jersey come Sunday that's for sure.

I guess, I am just not to excited about this game.

Our only hope is DWill/JSTEW and a couple big plays by Matt Moore...

We have to keep the ball out of Brady's hands...

I hope we win, but I am not expecting it.

I guess for once in a long while, it will be nice to be excited/surprised...

I hope I'm wrong and we get a surprise.....

Moore is going to have to have about 200+ yds of Passing. Enough to keep NE honest. We are definitely going to have to control the clock.

I want to bring up something that hasn't been mentioned. Meeks is very familiar with NE and recently how to beat them. I think he will have a defensive game plan and if our offense plays mistake free we could easily win this game.

I would imagine Snow would favor a ground game. Then again NE destroyed Arizona last year in the Snow.

Go Panthers

I can definitely remember when the Pats were the joke of the NFL. Dynasty's come and go. That is the nature of things. The Pats seem to be in decline now, but they are still a powerful team. I would be hard pressed to bet against them at home against a backup QB and a 5-7 team. Stranger things have happened. Matt Moore has his chance. I would love to see him change my opinion that Jake is the best QB we have ever had. I hope takes this chance and runs with it. There are a thousand others that would love to have it.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
