What the worse that can happen, If Vick doesn't work out we can use him like the Eagles are now. Just look at what Tennessee is doing with Vince Young and Chris Johnson. We could easily have that to, QB options, rollouts, Vick scrambling. He would go wild in the Georgia dome and Metrodome

What it comes down to is what do we have to lose? Vick on the Panthers would only open up our options. Hey, it might not work out, but we also won't be saying "What if?" On the contrary, Vick is still explosive and knowing his ability and competitiveness, I'm willing to bet that deep down he is itching for another chance as a starter. You would be surprised what a man who has been held down for so long can do once he is unleashed. Aside from the Vick matter, I'm all for Tony Pike or some QB with big upsides like size and arm strength. Whether he will be ready for week 1 is too hard to tell at this point, regardless, having competition in training camp is the best thing this team could ask for. Vick, Pike, Moore, Delhomme (hate to say it), all fighting for a starting job gives us the best chance to win and provides depth.

Didn't the Panthers cut a player a couple of years ago for lying to a cop? So why would JR really think about bringing a

CONVICTED FELON onto his team??????

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
