Peppers, Allen similar, and yet extremely different

“Peppers is a beast,” Allen said this week on a conference call. “He is an absolute beast. He does things that sometimes I wish I could do. I have nothing but good things to say about him. For how big he is, he moves so gracefully. He does things at that end position that set precedent of themselves.

I wonder how many "Allen is a beast and peppers suck"Threads were going to get when they move allen around to face Schwartz.

guarantee you that if Peppers enters free agency untagged, and gets to choose where he signs he'll post record stats in every DE category next year.

This is a nice thought , but I don't think you can teach Peppers to play with heart. I think Peppers gets excited sometimes and plays his position better than anyone in the league. It would be a mighty display of talient to see Peppers play a full season using his full ability every play.

I like Peppers ,but I don't think another team is going to pay him an insane amount of money only to watch him play a few good games each year.

Screw Peppers. He adds no value to the team, if he isn't already hurting the team by influencing them with his slack ass, with how much he gets paid and they way he plays he hurts this team just has much as Delhomme. I think Peppers is going to get a wake up call if he tried to pull that poo in some places. If I was a coach, there is no way I would want him on the team.

I was saying this a year ago, why would you franchise a player who wants to play for another team? Of course he's not going to play 100%, he isn't happy where he is at, he wants out. The panthers just said hey I'm am going to pay you an ass of money you can't refuse so you'll forget about playing for a team you have no desire to...

Nice move head office. Pepper's doesn't have the 'intangibles', he is quite the opposite, he REQUIRES too much motivation. Get him the f**k out of here already.

Story on the williams wall helps allen

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen is very good at what he does.
Carolina Panthers defensive line coach Brian Baker knows exactly why.

Baker was the Vikings defensive line coach from 2001 to 2005, when the team put together the best pair of defensive tackles in the league, Kevin and Pat Williams

    • Maybe a bit of a homer take but I can't give us a grade lower than A.   Freeling was arguably the best LT prospect in the draft.  His athletic ability is off the chart and at 6'7" that can move.  It was a no brainer pick.   Hunter's key word is Violence. Putting him next to Brown should scare an offensive coordinator. These two give Scourton and Phillips plenty of chances to get one on one opportunities. Brazzell, another tall receiver with sprinter speed.  Our WR room is filled with tall talented WR.  Brazzell is going to give us a WR that can take to roof off the defense.  Basically Jimmy Horn with size. W. Lee III has a nickname of the Blanket. (heard this on the Beleav podcast with J. Stewart)  What a great name.  A great value in the 5th round. Hecht A strong, fast and extremely smart center. Many had him listed as the best center in the draft.  He's most likely a starter sooner than later. Wheatley A good safety in round 5.  Someone who could see playing time.   Kuwatch  I love this pick.  At minimum he will be a key piece on special teams and with some good coaching he'll see some packages where he'll play.  His down piece is he doesn't stay up in the running game.  Good coaching will fix this.  He reminds me a bit of A.J. Klein.   All these picks were great value.  I believe everyone of them were graded higher than the pick we took them.   Dan Morgan is IMO doing a great job turning this team into a good team with great depth.
    • Moton is a class act.
    • Sure, that is possible. That’s what, an extra 55 yards a game on average and 7 more TDs? What if he’s just 15th?  I imagine they would extend him in that situation due to the belief that he’ll keep trending up. maybe a 3 year contract to prove he can be top 10? Sounds like a Tepper plan.
