Yeah, Frank has to be a one year coach, IMO. He has thoroughly proven that he isn't the guy.

The problem being that isn't going to send a welcoming signal to anyone trying to be the next HC. We will likely have to make someone an INSANE offer(which would piss off the other owners again) to get anyone worth a poo.

Going to have to hire a GM that sets up what a decent HC wants so they take the job...and yeah they will probibly be overpaid to boot.

Yeah, this is the deepest hole we have ever been in as a franchise. I compared our QB plight the last two seasons(mainly here in the Huddle) to the Cleveland Browns from 1999-2017(that could really be extended past 2017, TBH).

In a side by side we haven't compared favorably to them during that long two decade stretch. This was also spurred by bad ownership.

My guess is that we are probably looking at perhaps another 15-20 years of this if that trend keeps holding up.

That was my guess going into the year with the moves they made. It's not virgin territory in the NFL.

Until they do and not talk about stuff I call BS. I would never have been so happy to be proven wrong but all signs point to that. The trade up to #1 has been the kind of move Tepper has tried to make since his second year so none of this was shocking, the path or outcome, unfortunately. He doesn't even seem to have any blind luck. This is looking like one of the worst NFL teams in the league and there is no end in sight

Yeah, I don't really see the chances of me keeping my season tickets extending past next season. There isn't a good reason to.

I have been trying to sell all offseason and I got 1 email about questions. I am moving it to practically free to see if I can move them before next year. I'm fine with walking away at this point. I just want to see what it feels like when I have zero money in any of this mess.

Yeah my buddy and I are talking about just walking away entirely. There is no one to sell to. Why bother?

It's a credit hit to walking away from the contract but that isn't enough to stop me from walking if they bring this pooshow back for a token 2nd year.

    • We've gone from wanting a franchise QB to an "elite" QB. Come on, people.
    • All the side talk about BY aside I like the attention to small details. Though I find it hard to believe no one on staff and especially Josh McCown the QB coach tried to hone in on these things this time last year.
    • I haven't made any point but that "elite" is very much a matter of definition---it's subjective.  Dak has been good throughout his career, and last season was one of his best. Of course he faltered in the playoffs, but so did several QBs. So if you're going to ding him, you must ding them all, except one. There is only one truly elite QB in the league, and we all know who he is. Dak is a franchise QB. Matt Ryan was one as well. Palmer was as well before he got injured.  You seem to be suggesting that you can only win a chip with an elite QB. I say that you can win one without one. It's a team sport.  The fact is, Dak's career passer rating and career QBR are in the good territory, as a I've stated. If you look at his last season, they were more than good. QBs with lesser ratings than Prescott have led their teams to a chip.   Suggesting that most elite QBs will take a team bereft of a line and weapons to a chip doesn't make sense. It just doesn't. Mahomes and Brady are really the only ones that came close to that, and parts of their teams were elite if not most of their teams. Maybe Burrow can do it, but he's suffered some injuries that have directly affected his play and taken the shine off. You need at least a good team and a good QB. This pretty much shows itself every year.
