Was the panthers/vikings time of possession.
This was all Bryce executing too since the run game was nonexistent. Bryce wasn’t as bad as he's being made out. The fumble was terrible, but so many missed opportunities too. I think it was actually impressive that Bryce was able to execute quickly and maintain possession. Yes we need to score but I think there was still positive here that is being overlooked.

I mean he threw a TD pass that Ian dirt bike Thomas tried to catch with his helmet.

If Thomas catches that, the story is a little different.

Let's not forget he threw what absolutely should've been a pick six a few plays before this happened if we're viewing the full scope of whataboutism.

Unfortunately you don't get any points for TOP. You have to move the ball into FG range or across the goal line. Two things we failed to do.

Look man I know. All I am saying is the TOP was very positive and it was basically all Bryce. Of course not scoring kind of makes it all for nothing, but its still a positive sign that Bryce was able to have so much TOP

Penalties were killer. We were looking at 1st and goal at the 6, but a bad penalty on the LT, then an awful play call to go back another few yards. Then the fumble, huge change of momentum there. Should have been up 16 to 7 at minimum there.

Should it have been though? Not many DL are going to catch that ball. It was a bad play but…

That wouldn’t have been a pick 6, but I agree it should have been picked.

I’m not as down on Bryce as everyone else. I thought he executed what he was given Sunday.

This is true, but like that was a pull back and throw play that just didn't work out. It was a good play by a defender that probably new it was coming. If he is bumped off at all, that was a TD.

    • Disclaimer:  In June, I am usually optimistic.  In October, a policeman with a bullhorn is telling me that I have a lot of life ahead of me and to think about my loved ones as I gaze down upon him from my rooftop.   Having said that, I think our offense (down the stretch) was good enough to play KC and Philly tough.  So how many games would this offense have won if they played the entire season like they did in November-January and if they had a better defense?   If you could stretch the last nine games over an entire season and put a solid defense on the other side, I see 5 wins becoming 7 or 8.  Down the stretch, the Panther D surrendered 30 points or more in 5 of the final 7 games and managed to win 2 of those 5.  If they can win 40% of games in which their defense surrenders 30 points or more, then the math indicates, had that been the case all season, the Panthers should have won 6 or 7 games with their defense surrendering 30+ points.   This season, we are much better at WR (TMac, Renfrow, Horn, and I expect XL to be a lot better).  Bryce is confident and now a leader.    The Achilles' heel of the 2024 defense, the DL, seems to be very solid.  We got back Horn and Jackson on the corners, Smith-Wade is improving better than expected, we signed a stud Safety.  Derrick Brown returns.  While the D is not there yet, it is going to be better.   So if we ended the second half of 2024 playing at a level that should have produced 6-7 wins, better WRs and a better defense could result in 9 wins or more.
