My Bold Prediction

NFL Executive

Recommended Posts

This is the last thing I will say on this topic. I hope this is not the case but being a realist, here it is

Matt Moore of 2009 = Derek Anderson of 2007... what a hell of a season, as for the QB himself... well Anderson looked good for 1 year and now he will be lucky to find a starting job. Lets just not over-hype this people, c'mon.

DRAFT A QB PROSPECT!

Let Moore start but dont crown him as the answer yet... I honestly dont think he is the future of Carolina Ball. He had some good throws yes, but also some very lucky breaks and dropped INTs.

i dont know what basis you have on drawing that conclusion. honestly, what more could we ask for in a qb right now? he's been in the league and in system for 3 years, has developed a relationship with the players for as long, and has been outstanding when called upon.

i do think that we need to bring in someone else to compete during training camp, but at minimum, matt deserves to go into next (pre)season as the #1 guy.

matt has gotten a couple lucky breaks, and made some off throws, but it's not like he won't improve. he came in during the roughest stretch of the season, and pulled off a 4-1 record during this tenure; thats pretty impressive. moore screams potential, and i am excited at what he can help offer this team. his athleticism alone is far superior to anything jake couldve ever offered us, and he will only get better.

i don't quite get the hate for the OP... he's entitled to his predictions and he could very well be right. how many derek anderson fans would've poo-pooed a similar thread back in 07 when he was tearing it up?

that said, i think moore has been lucky on a number of occasions... but what NFL quarterback isn't? moore has been able to capitalize on those lucky breaks, and that's what sets him above jake delhomme and, currently, a lot of other guys.

i think he'll be alright.

not saying this is the case .. but!?!? didn't Tom Brady, a complete nobody at the time, come off the bench to relieve a QB on his way down the tubes?.... is Moore the next Brady, ??? who knows.. were already rebuilding why not see what we got before we hand him off to someone like Tampa, and were forced to sit here and go WTF

    • That he gets worse while at the same time getting more exposure is just typical.
    • And, yes, I've been a slow boil, but watching continually watching shitty displays of football for weeks has me frustrated.
    • Bryce just didn't maximize Hunter Renfrow's skills. ***rant incoming*** But this isn't just about Bryce Young mistiming passes to Renfrow so bad that he's going to get Renfrow killed or hurt, this is also about incompetentence by Dave Canales. Renfrow can still play. He's putting DBs in a blender out there---making them play twister at the top of routes to keep up with him, and dumb Dave has the nerve to cut him. How about putting Hunter in the best position to help the damned offense by appreciating his skill set, DC? You're letting Bryce's apparent inability to make an accurate throw, or at least his timidity to push the ball down the damned field cloud your judgment and miscalculate talent---or maybe just miss on talent just as much as Bryce misses passes due to playing pussified football. It's fúcking unacceptable.  Speaking of misjudgment, I don't know if it's Dan Morgan or Canales, but Eijiro Evero is not the business at DC. I have said a few times that his scheme is not conducive to run-stopping efficiency. Hell, and after watching some clips of plays, now I absolutely know why. The gaps are at least half open before the play even fúcking starts. You are setting the opposition's RBs up for success with too much damned space at the line and in the second level. If our guys are taken out in these areas---at the line and in the second level---then the defense is screwed because it must rely on the safeties to cover too much ground to make the tackle. At least put Ransom in who is motivated to seek and destroy if you're going to effectively leave the safeties on an island.  And speaking of rookies, get our two new defensive ends more snaps to see if we can't generate more of a pass rush. For all the good the continued sorry display of defense that you're putting out for fan's to see (Ejiro, Dave and Dan), you may as well get the rookies generously involved. Fúck that money we gave second-rate (maybe second-rate) vets, we need a damned spark getting after the QB. Watch it, it's just another breakdown of the sh¡t we were subjected to last week. I say this with all respect: Fúck you, Dave! Fúck you, Dan! Learn how to run a fúcking franchise. Maximize the players, regardless of what you think you're supposed to do by the book. Cut the dead weight before another season is lost and fans lose interest in September. EE is "Ew!" Or for emphasis "EEw!" /end rant
