Na'ill Diggs extended

anyone notice how little he has been seeing playtime the last few weeks? up until his injury he was seeing 45-50 plays per game but the last few it's only been about 15 or so.

I saw him of the field a lot vs the Saints. If he only played 15 or so plays then he was making good use of his playing time cause he was bustin em down Sunday.

i just noticed in the 2nd half of the giants game he didn't play at all. still hurting?

That is one keen eye.

Giants - 15

Vikings - 15

Buccs - 15

In all honesty, there are only a handful of games where he has seen over 20 plays in the entire season. Weeks 1, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11 & 12. The rest are sub 20 snap games for him, most closer to 10 snap games.

Up until week 16 Anderson (469) had featured in 103 more snaps than Diggs (366). With Johnson and Connor combining to be 100 short of Diggs.

I think the value of this contract reflects his role and he really must value being here. I would also be surprised if Anderson does not rise above him next season.

Yeah, great that he is still able to be on the team but I see this move being a way to re-sign Anderson and Davis. I expect the starting lineup to be Anderson/Beason/Davis next year with Diggs and Conner as the primary backups. And don't under-estimate Conner's value as a backup. Even though he doesn't see much time on the field and he really is only suited for MLB, having him as a backup in case something would happen to Beason is a very good insurance policy to have. And from what I saw he is a above average ST player.

This extension in no way means that Anderson or Conncer would not be the starter in the near future. Getting even a solid veteran back-up LB for price is a great move.

We run so much Nickle that Munnerlyn virtually shared Diggs starting role this season.

Sutton and Captain may beg to differ this year, but the past has shown us otherwise.

I don't know if he had a golden chance, but sure, he had the opportunity. James just proved to play lights-out later on as he got more comfortable at the spot.

I may be reaching here, and don't get me wrong I'm glad Anderson showed how effective he can be, but I can't shake the feeling that the only reason he took the most snaps from the start is because he has had a longer tenure here than Connor.

You really are reaching because Anderson just flat out

played Connor. Tenure had nothing to do with it.
