The smelliest of shyte

Of all the pieces of utter shyte sittin' atop the Soddy turf of BOA, I have found no shyte that smells worse than our guard play. Yes, Bryce has been shyte. Sanders has been expensive shyte. Most of the WR's are shyte. Even Icky, who I have been high on in the past, has been a surprise shart. But none of those shytes have been as smelly as the shytie guards.

I think we underestimate how devastating loosing our two guards to injuries has been to our run game which we desperately need to support Bryce. Not to mention the impact on pass pro and keeping our local hobbit from getting David Carr'd by the end of the season which is already in the toilet (where the shyte belongs, frankly). I think our number one priority should be using game reps to develop our QB and salvage(and maybe even build on) whatever talent he has. I think the best way I can think to turn shyte into marble is addressing our guards and pounding the rock.

So how do we unclog this toilet? Can't imagine there are options available to pick up though it's hard to believe no one out there is better than Zavala. Could we trade? Maybe player swap. I've heard some folks mention moving Icky to guard. Maybe Moton moves to LT and Lee moves up to RT. Personally, I hate it, but at this point it can't be much worse than what we have.

What do you think? How would you fix the guard play?

This team plays like they were already beat before the opening kick off.

I don't know what our game plan is, but I do know that in no way does it contain any content that attempts to dictate the game to the opponent. You can't win at football unless you impose your will on the other team.

Team take on the personality of their coaches.

Hopefully we start seeing more Brown/Evero/Staley than we do Reich 😐

Skoronski would have fit in those multiple scenarios very well.

We hired a limp dick head coach who is preaching to the players instead of coaching, what did you expect?

So sick of Tepper and his hires.

It was tempting to poo your post, not because I disagree, but because it would match the theme.

IMHO, in the short term we see how much it helps when we plug Corbett back in the lineup. When that happens, I hope someone hides Zavala's helmet so we can move Throckmorten over to LG. I'd also kick the tires on La'el Collins to see if he could help.

    • I'm happy with TMac, but Tyler Warren was last season's Tyler Linderbaum for me in that he was at a position that wasn't one of the five pillars but he was the best player at his position AND one of the top talents in the draft. I cannot fuging wait for the Panthers to start winning again so that those guys fall to us like they seem to for teams like Baltimore & Philadelphia.
    • Still working on consuming all of these so I don't have summaries available, but I figured there might be another Huddler or three trying to kill time before tonight's final preseason game.   Panthers Blueprint: Training Camp The in-house produced Blueprint series has given behind-the-scenes look on the field and off. Start the day with Robert Hunt's family, be in the morning meetings, mic'd up players during practice (Jaycee, Rozeboom, Icky, and Bryce), roster evaluations by the staff, and plenty of camp highlights capping off with FanFest.   Processing Blue (Mike Kaye & Alex Zietlow Mike and Alex are back talking about a variety of topics including but not limited to: joint practice + preseason game vs. Houston, Trey Hendrickson trade rumors involving Carolina, training camp awards, draft pick draft, and various thoughts about the team.   Jordan & Jake 706: Opening Day Another in-house Panthers' production, the most recent episode of Jordan and Jake talk about how to properly balance intensity in practice, react to the starters being shutdown for the preseason finale, share their thoughts on the newest Panther QB, and more.   Raw Room - Ep 278 - Gas Pedal (ft. Mike Davis) Assistant special teams' coach Darren Bates' Raw Room podcast has former Panthers' RB Mike Davis on his weekly podcast. I'm about halfway through this one and it's been a lot of fun. The Raw Room guys (DB, his friend Alex Sweets, former Eagles/Chargers OT King Dunlap, and former Atlanta DB Jalen Collins) are hilarious and Mike fits right in. They talk about his football experience coming up, decommitting from Florida and how he decided on South Carolina, and more. Warning: If you're the type of person that is easily distracted by accents, despite XL being on the team, you might have issues with understanding the Memphis dialect. If you don't care about how somebody talks, just what they're talking about, tune in!
    • Allen was borderline unplayable in College.  He's an absolute unicorn in terms of his career panning out the way it has.
