how many playoff wins? f**k a regular season, its about what you do in january chief.

if you're going to go that route, then fug playoff wins, it's about what you do in the superbowl.

the truth is, if you have a 20-12 record, you're putting yourself in a position to WIN playoff games... and that's what the NFL is all about (or at least, that's what analyzing this statistic is about.)

I'm guessing it's in the top five, but I don't know. So let's say Fox goes 12-4 again next year with the weak schedule. That would make him 32-16 over a three year span. I bet that would put him top two.

Now that I checked for sure last 2 years

26: IND

22: MIN

21: NE, PIT, TEN, SD, NO

20.5: PHI

20: BAL, NYG, DAL, CAR, ATL

Success is not based on how well you do over a multi-year period that covers just the regular seasons involved! Succcess in the NFL is based on the playoffs, period. Did you make them? How well did you do in them? How far did you go? Did you make the conference championship game? Did you win that? Did you get to the SB? How'd you do there?

This isn't like Hollywood, where an Oscar NOMINEE can parlee that nomination into almost as much acclaim as an actual Oscar winner. A coach is judged on his total record. Failure to make the playoffs is always noted. Now, I agree that it is better to make the playoffs and lose than to not make them at all. But our record there is spotty too!

true about the playoffs ...the team with the most postseason wins the last 2 years isn't in that list of 20+ (Cards w/4)

    • If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
    • Mitchell Evan’s put a block on someone that he drove them all the way out of bounds and to the bench. He absolutely destroyed the guy. He’s gonna be a beast for us if he keeps that up.
    • Yall... stop taking a sample size and projecting a role player into a permanent starter cuz he had a decent year after what, 5? Come on
