Come on, man. If he wants to call Jeudy JAG, that's totally acceptable. Some of y'all are taking this way out of context and way too seriously. Smitty's job is to analyze and that's exactly what he did (albeit in a creative way that did not skirt the line).

No one would ever refer to Smitty as JAG. No former Panthers player would ever criticize him for not giving his craft his full effort.

Take your homer glasses off. You can't go on Nat'l tv and destroy a active player on the sidelines just before a game. Smitty got in his feelings and decided to air it out on Nat'l tv.

That was unprofessional for a NFL analyst. Lucky things didn't get out of hand because we all know Smitty has a problem controlling his temper.

He's going to mess with the wrong one. Dude is pushing 40 it's time he leave his playing days mindset behind him. Love Smitty but he was simply wrong in this situation. Hopefully he learns from it.

Well, his colleagues apparently don't think so.

Like I said he will play with the wrong player one day. It's time to grow up. Smitty still acting like he is a player. You just can't talk to a player like that on Nat'l tv.

Keyshawn and Michael Irvin talked about this on Undisputed. They both said Smitty was in the wrong. Those are 2 WR's by the way who both had a relationship with Smitty.

Talk to a player like what? He wasn't talking to Jeudy who was basically being an "unprofessional" clown "all in his feels," because Jeudy didn't want to [mess] with the [ninja]. If a player gets mad at being called out by analysts, the best way to handle it is by proving the analysts wrong with your play on the field. Jeudy decided to go the way of the ass because of what Smitty said on his posdcast, so Smitty got back with him in a decidedly professional manner.

I'm going to go listen if I can find it.

Why is Smitty approaching a guy he already dissed in the first place?

You expect me to talk to you after you already questioned my game. Nah bro gtfoh. Don't talk to me period. Smitty was in the wrong point blank.

I just listened. I think that KJ had the best take. He said that they both were wrong.

Let's not forget that 89 approached him to apologize.

If someone talked down on me and decided to approach me I would tell him to GTFOH. He said what he said deal with it. If he is apologizing he knew what he said was out of pocket.

So once again Smitty was in the wrong. If he didn't approach Jeudy this isn't even a topic right now.

If Jeudy had acted like a mature man and actually talked it out, instead of acting out like an immature kid, this isn't a topic right now either.

Steve Smith didn't get "out of pocket" until Jeudy did. Smith has every right to criticize Jeudy on his show. He may have been a little hard in his analysis on his show, but that doesn't mean that he was wrong. He reassessed his opinion and was trying to show Jeudy some grace (however undeserved).

Let's not forget that Schlereth slammed Jeudy for lack of effort a couple of days prior to Smitty trying to show the kid some grace. Sure, it would have been nice, and perhaps politically correct, had Smith tried to give Jeudy some advice before calling him a JAG on his podcast, but he wasn't obligated to do it. Jeudy surely hasn't been PC at times. He's been downright disrespectful, and this is just the latest instance of it. Smitty reacted negatively, but I'd still bet that you see him in London while Jeudy doesn't "remember" the incident in the meantime.

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
