I'm going to be classy

Grats on getting no personal fouls called when there should have, about 10 times. Thomas getting that first down was questionable, you can't get forward progress when you don't even have the ball in your hands. Also, the Meachum catch was NOT a catch.

You could argue that if Favre didn't take 15 cheap shots during the game he could have been more poised later on to make those throws (instead of limping around all over the place). So yes, you won, but you won by being a cheating team of thugs, so good game. I hope Payton (classy) stomps all over your pathetic team. NFL should be embarrassed after that game.

I am happy though, maybe NOW, FINALLLLLLLLLLLLLY we can stop hearing about katrina. Maybe now that they get their super bowl, the NFL can stfu and hand them that to make the Cinderella story complete. Chances are though, no one down there was smart enough to realize that living in a city that's below sea level is a bad idea.

The refs were protecting Farve. The Saints got flagged on cheap shot and some questionable hits. All the other hits were legit. If they were not legit hits so many flags would have flown you'd have thought it was Flag Day or the 4th of July.

Don't let your hatred for the Saints cloud your judgement of fair play. And enough of the Farve card! he's old, he's a legend, so you can't hit him like you can hit Brees. BS! You step on the field, be ready and able to play the game!!

Hatred of the Saints only comes from Boasting fans like you. You sound like hitS were on a Panther. This is a Panther page not a Viking one. Why would we say it was dirty hit if it were clean? We have ZERO reason to say it was dirty unless it was dirty.

Stop letting your blind devotion to you AINTS, cloud your mind into what is a solid hit and a cheap shot. NO Saints = Cheap Shot Artist.

GO COLTS

The Saints won the game but didn't beat the Vikings the Vikings beat themselves.

As poorly as they played (mainly offense and turnovers) they still had a great chance for a game winning FG but the way things were going for them it wasn't surprising that they blew it. Maybe Farve just couldn't do that to his old home town team. I don't think Manning will have that problem.

Anyone saying the ref. didn't make a difference is bias.

which PI are we talking about? i'm pretty sure there were two on the drive. on the call on david thomas the minny DB wasn't even looking at the ball and crashed into him. the ball hadn't even gotten over their heads before that. leber held colston, it wasn't about feet being tangled.

I would agree that the PI call on the Vikings @ the end of the game was a phantom call, the Saints TE fell over backwards on his own trying to adjust to catch the ball, the Vikings LB never actually made contact with him.

Having said that, the Vikings blew this one in the prior series, they got flagged for trying to be cute with 12 men in the huddle (to confuse the Saints on the personnel package) and then Farve throws one of his classic "what was he thinking" interceptions when he probably could have ran for the 1st down, or at least into FG position.

Vikings gave this one away, credit to the Saints for putting themselves in a position to collect it.

Congrats on the win, I for one am pulling for the Taints in the big game just because I like pulling for the underdogs. I'm going to gag when I type this but . . . G . . . Gea . . . Geaux Saints, *cough* *cough* :D

I read something online post game that summarizes it nicely:

"The Vikings outrushed, outpassed, controlled the clock, won on third down, had fewer penalties, had 218 more yards and almost overcame six fumbles and two interceptions. The Vikings dug their own grave"
